The communities of North Iowa take great pride in providing a high quality learning environment, including the facilities and technology needed to allow students to keep pace in this ever changing world. Student safety and the overall appearance, condition and functionality of the school are important to the North Iowa Board of Education, as well as the staff, families and community. It is with those values and beliefs in mind that the decision was made to ask for a PPEL election.
Physical Plant and Equipment Levy (PPEL) is a levy or a tax that can generate additional revenue the school can use for repairs, equipment and school improvements. The North Iowa Board of Education is asking patrons to consider a voter approved PPEL to generate funds for those designated purposes. This document is not intended to persuade you to vote for or against the PPEL, but rather to provide you with the information you need to make an informed decision
