Please sign up in the MS office by noon Thursday if you are interested in riding a bus to the varsity football game on Friday at Lake City.  The cost is $7.00 per person.  The bus will leave Buffalo Center at 5:00 p.m. Friday IF enough people sign up.

 

All 6th graders should report to the ICN room 3rd period today to meet with Mr. Huntington.

 

8th graders and parents – Hawkeye Stages will be here TODAY to meet with students at 2:30 p.m. and to meet with parents at 6:00 p.m.  Deposits are due at that time.  The meetings will be held in the MS media center.

 

During the Opus recording sessions on Tuesday, there were some technical difficulties, so some of the students scheduled to record that day were unable to do so.  Because of that, I have rescheduled some of them for today.  I have completely redone today's lesson schedule to accomodate this.  Here is a list of students and times:

REMINDERS:

 

2008 Iowa Youth Survey Online – information was distributed to Grades 6, 8 and 11 this week - for students to take home to parents – the refusal of consent form on the back page needs to be turned in by Sept. 19th ONLY if the student will NOT be participating - otherwise it will be passive consent.  These forms were also distributed with registration packets.

 

7/8 football and 7/8 volleyball schedule –

Thursday – 7/8 VB games with W-CL-T at home at 4:15.  7/8 FB practices after school – shuttle leaves Thompson at 5:30.

Friday - 7/8 FB & VB practices after school – shuttle leaves Thompson at 4:50 (varsity FB game at Lake City).

 

Mid-term – is Friday, Sept. 19th.  Reports will be mailed out the following week.

 

Wednesday, Sept. 24th – 1:30/1:50 dismissal due to staff development.
