Congratulations to the FFA/FCCLA Sweetheart Royalty candidates for this weekend’s festivities.  The boys selected are Cody Adams, Jacob Crowder, Scott Evans, Logan Hovland, Jeb Kothenbeutel. The girls selected are Sarah Anderson, Courtney Berkeland, Carrie Berschman, Amber Paden, McKenzie Meinders. 

The BC Tribune will be here at 11:45 today to take pictures of the King and Queen Candidates.  There will also be a picture taken of the FCCLA members and officers for FCCLA week.

 

Good luck to the LM-NK wrestlers Saturday at Sectionals in Clear Lake.

Juniors and Seniors:  If you are participating in the Daffodil Days project, please meet at the bronze statue by the media centers today at 11:45 for a short meeting. This is for anyone interested in helping with this project.

 

There will be a pep rally at 11:00 a.m. in the auditorium.  1st period will be 8:25-9:40 am; 2nd period will be 9:45-10:55 a.m.

 

Writers’ Seminar students eating lunch together should meet today at 11:55 in Mrs. DeBoer’s room with their drink and $3.50. Plates and dessert will be provided.

 

If you are interested in being on tech/stage crew for the musical, "Grease" sign up on the list in the media center.

 

Basketball players – JV bus leaves at 2:40 – dismiss players at 2:30. Varsity bus leaves at 4:40.

 

State Finals Saturday, February 20 wrestling tickets are available for $8.  Today is the last day to contact Mr. Huntington if you would like tickets.  Make checks payable to Lake Mills High School.

 

Those students taking the ACT assessment tomorrow (Saturday) should arrive between 7:30 a.m. and 7:45 a.m. and enter by the east doors and report to the high school media center.  Remember your admission tickets, #2 pencils, approved calculators, and dress in layers.

 

The class ring rep from Josten’s will be here next week Wednesday, February 10th with a class ring display.  The meeting will be held during seminar with the freshmen attending.

 

Now through Monday, Feb 8th, the FCCLA will be holding a Valentine fund raiser.  The Theme this year is "I've Got A Crush on You!"  Send your valentine a can of pop with a special message written by you on the can!.  You can send a can of strawberry, grape or orange crush for just $1, to be delivered during the last hour on Fri. Feb. 12th!!FCCLA members will be visiting the seminar groups each day to sell labels.  Be sure to find out what class your sweetie is in during 4th hr & 8th hour, and write both on the label, so we can find them!

 

All Seniors need to pay $25 to the HS office to help pay for graduation caps, gown, and stoles.  Please make payment by February 13.

 

A Prom Book for this year's dresses will be available in the FCS room.  Bring in a picture of your dress to put in as soon as you have purchased it.

 

Happy birthday wishes to Morgan Kahler and Nicholas Kahler whose birthdays will be this Sunday, February 7th.  Have a great birthday!
