10/15/10 – Day B

Students and Staff:  This week is National School  Lunch Week.  Please take a moment when going through the lunch line to thank the cooks for all the good meals they make for us.  

Lunch today is:  Corn dog, fresh veggies with dip, pears, cherry crisp.

There will NOT be a pep bus tonight to Belmond.  This is a change at the last minute.

Congratulations to both the boys and girls cross country teams for their third place finishes at the conference meet in Forest City yesterday.  Logan Hovland won his second consecutive individual championship and Anna Skarpohl-Ost and Krista Hovland were all-conference for the girls.

The jersey auction last evening took in a profit of $936.00.  This will be donated to breast cancer research.

Thank you to the people that participated in our 10-12-10 blood drive.  Watch for the date of our next blood in late March and early April.

FCCLA members will begin  taking orders for Halloween ghost suckers during Homeroom next week.  They will sell for 25 cents each, and will be delivered to the person of your choice during 9th hour on October 29th.  When you order your suckers, please know the Homeroom of the person you are sending it to.

FCCLA members that would like to sell suckers next week during Homeroom, please sign up on the list outside the door of the FCS room.

There will be a quiz bowl meeting during 9^th hour today for those going to Algona tomorrow or those simply wanting to get in another practice session.

The following FFA members must work the JV football game on Monday night.  Dalton Berte, Zach Blocker, Macie Emery, Maranda Eichenberger. Dylan Balvance.

Students are reminded that the end of 1^st quarter is Friday, October 22^nd.  Students, please make sure you are getting work done and in on time!

There are just a few weeks left to earn points for the fall spirit award and only 54 spirit points separate the top two classes!
