Lunch
today is: Sub sandwich, cheez-its, green beans, apple half.
Travel through the commons
will not be permitted today, from 1:45 pm to 8 pm because of the blood drive.
Students are asked to travel using the 2nd floor hallway by
Mr. Bergeson’s room or the kindergarten hallway on first floor.
If you plan on donating blood
today at the blood drive, make sure you eat a full noon meal and at least 32
ounces of water. You must be current with your course work to miss class
for donating blood. A photo ID is needed for donating blood. If you
are 16 or 17 years old and it is the FIRST time you have donated, a parental
permission slip is required.
Any high school student
interested in bowling this year should attend an organizational meeting on
Monday, October 17th at 3:00 in the auditorium.

The October Students of the
Month need to report to the Main Office at 12:05 today for a picture for the
newspaper and also need to check their emails for a questionnaire to fill out.
Students: Doctor’s notes and
other appointment excusal notes are required when leaving school for such
appointments. Notes can be hand delivered to the office or faxed to the
school. Professional offices are accustomed to writing excusal notes for
students, but you need to ask for them. Absence for such appointments
will be considered unexcused unless an excusal note is given to the Main
Office. Thanks for your cooperation.
The pep rally for high school
and middle school will begin at 2:15.
Please do not fill the first 5 roses on the main floor of the auditorium
or the back 3 rows of the balcony. Our homeroom time today will be our pep
rally – 2:15-2:45 – and our 8th period will go from 2:48-3:30
pm.
The following students need
to report to Mr. Anderson’s room tomorrow (Friday) 9th hour: Erick Aldana, Zach
Blocker, Brianna Johnson, Mikaela Larson, Mikayla Litzkow, Jason Rahe, Jeni Stevenson, Zach Van
Reese.
Students will have Opt Out
day tomorrow, Friday. Make sure you turn
in your Student Handbook sheet signed and your Opt Out form signed by your
parent in order to opt out.
FCCLA
members- Please pay your $15 dues. Also please bring 1 pkg. of Blow Pops
Suckers to the nest meeting- Oct. 24th.
Officers should bring 1 box of Kleenex.
There will be a quiz bowl
meeting on Friday during homeroom for all those interested in competing on
Saturday at Algona Garrigan. Please be prompt.
All Punt, Pass and Kick
winners will be given trophies or medals during halftime at this Friday night’s
football game.
Lifetouch Picture Retake
Day – Friday, October 14 – starting with elementary at 8:30 a.m. with MS and HS
to follow. Students wanting a retake need to bring their picture packet
with them and give to the photographer. Any new students or any absent
students from Sept. 6th should have their picture taken that
day. Extra picture packets are available from the main office.
The yard signs can be
purchased anytime throughout the year. You can contact Sharla Hassebroek
