Great Homecoming
Week! The decorating, pep rally, skits, parade, etc. were all
super! Bison pride is overflowing. Thanks for making Homecoming
2008 such a positive experience.

to the FB team on their 58-0 Homecoming victory last Friday!
All decorating
committees needs to clean up after Homecoming sometime in the next 2
days. Please do not put hallway and door decorations in the regular
trash. You can get larger black garbage sacks from the HS office.
Windows need to be thoroughly cleaned, trash picked up, items off lockers
related to Homecoming, skits props returned, etc.

to the following classes for winning the various Homecoming activities: Seniors—boys volleyball; seniors—powderpuff FB; sophomores—Tug-of-War; sophomores—Hallway;
seniors—windows; seniors—doors; seniors—banner/cheer/skit; class fundraiser—seniors.
Any student who is tardy for any class will be serving 15 minutes
detention for their first tardy and 30 minutes any tardy thereafter.
Also, students must have their parent/guardian excuse them for any absence,
part of a day or full day, or the absence will be considered unexcused.
An unexcused absence will result in detention time, ISS, or lunch in the HS
office. Please make sure your parents communicate any of your absences
with the HS office.
The following
students need to see Mr. Embrock during Seminar or lunch today: Philip Griese, Chris Stefan, Caleb Angel, Harley Wiedermeier, Coleen Arnold, Alisa Arnold, Katie Langfald, and Ben Bromeland.
High School Swing Choir members: Remember we have before-school practices this week tomorrow and Thursday at 7:30 a.m. in the choir room. Don't be late!!

The volleyball matches at Rockwell for October 16 have been canceled.
Lifetouch picture retakes will be taken this Friday, October 10th beginning at 8:30 a.m. with the elementary first, then high school.
Those students who were contacted about taking the PSAT – NMSQT Test on
October 15th need to get their test fees paid to Mr. Huntington by
the end of this week. Make checks payable to
Any Juniors and Seniors interested in attending the University of Iowa
ICN Visit on Wednesday at 10:15-11:30 need to sign up in Mr. Huntington’s Room
Monday or Tuesday. This is the only visit that the U of Iowa does for our
school.
Matt Washburn, Conservation Officer with the Iowa DNR, will be giving a
career talk about opportunities in conservation and natural resources work on Friday,
October 10 starting at 8:00 in the ICN room. Let Mr. Huntington know if
you are interested in attending.
Juniors—Those of you who have not picked up your prizes for magazine sales, please do this today from the office.
