Lunch today is:  Popcorn chicken, California blend w/cheese, sandwich, cherries, cheesecake.

 

FFA Officers will have a working lunch today in Mr. Meyer’s room.

 

Weight lifting and agilities will switch days this week.  Weight lifting will be today.

 

October is breast cancer awareness month! Friday night is PINK OUT night in Northwood. We would like to encourage you to show your support and wear pink on Friday!

 

FCCLA members—Please bring 1 bag of suckers-Blow Pops or Tootsie Pops to next meeting on October 24th or before.  Officers bring one box of Kleenex.

 

There will be a quiz bowl meeting on Friday during homeroom in Mr. Potter’s room. 

 

College Visits…..

·        Today (Wednesday) the Iowa Lake CC rep will be here at 11:45 a.m

·        Thursday -  Northwest Iowa Community and Technical College at Sheldon will be here at 11:45 and LaJames International from Fort Dodge will be here at 2:45 as well.

·        Friday – Kirkwood Community College at Cedar Rapids will be here at 11:45

 

Those students planning to take the PSAT-NMSQT test on October 14th need to get their $14 fee to Mr. Huntington this week.

 

We will offer a pep bus to Northwood on Friday. Cost to ride is $5. This is open to kids in grades 5-12. We need to have 25 kids signed up and PAID for by Thursday at noon.

 

FFA meeting Thursday night at 7:00 pm in the High School media center.

 

Lifetouch Picture Retake Day – Friday, October 14 (note change) starting with elementary at 8:30 a.m. with MS and HS to follow.  Students wanting a retake need to bring their picture packet with them and give to the photographer.  Any new students or any absent students from Sept. 6th should have their picture taken that day.  Extra picture packets are available from the main office. 

 

The yard signs can be purchased anytime throughout the year.  You can contact Sharla Hassebroek at phone # 562-2327 and her email is hassebrk@wctatel.net.

 

The bulletin board in the lobby with all the pictures on it is NOT for you to take pictures off of. A lot of time is spent on taking the pictures and putting that board together. PLEASE be respectful and look, but don't touch.

 

Students are reminded when leaving their classrooms they are required to sign out and back in in that classroom.  Each classroom teacher will have a checkout sheet provided for you to sign out and in.
