Congratulations to
the varsity volleyball girls for making it into the Final 4 in the NIC
volleyball tournament this past Saturday in Britt! Come cheer the girls on
tonight at 6:00 in Britt.
Volleyball girls,
there will be no freshman or JV practice tonight. Come cheer on the varsity
team instead! Varsity volleyball girls, we will leave from the west side of the
school at 4:30 today.
Please remove all
items from the tops of your lockers. The tops of the lockers will be
cleaned today so you need to put all items in your academic lockers or your
activity lockers. Any items left on top of the lockers today will be put
into lost and found. Please try to keep items off of the tops of our lockers.

We will have a
short assembly tomorrow at 1:55 pm in the HS Auditorium. 3rd
period will end at 1:50 pm. 4th period will begin at about
2:10 pm.
Student Council
will be meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, Oct. 6th from 11:45-12:15 pm, for
a “working lunch” meeting. When you get dismissed, head to the lunchroom to get
your tray & meal and bring it up to the Multipurpose
room. We will be discussing the events of homecoming and also making our plans
for the Red Ribbon Week, which is coming up! Everyone needs to be there!
All juniors will
meet in the HS Auditorium on Tuesday, October 6 at 12:00 pm.
All juniors please turn in money and tickets
for the Cruzin’ Cooler to Vicki in the office.
You have less than a week to sell and turn this in. We so far have made only
$230 profit. If you want After Prom we need everyone to pitch in!
Deadline to turn this in is Thursday, October 8th. Drawing is
at halftime Friday evening at the football game.
We still have a
month of Fall Activities left! There is still plenty of time for any of the
four classes to win that ice cream social! GO BIG BLUE!
If anyone finds an iPOD, please turn it into the office. Reward to who turns in the iPOD! Thanks!
There will be an
FFA meeting this Thursday, Oct 8th at 7:00 pm in the media center.
The following FFA
members are working the concession stand at the football game this Friday
night, October 9th: Garrett Smith, Jeb Kothenbeutel,
Blake Huntington, Philip Griese, Garrett Asmus, Cody
Adams,
FCCLA members- You
should have received some blank labels on Friday afternoon. Please fill in names & addresses of people you know that
may buy Pampered Chef products later this month and return the labels to Mrs.
Larsen by Tuesday afternoon. There is an
envelope on the bulletin board outside the FCS room to put them in.
Bring in your
labels and/or your $12 FCCLA dues and you will receive a treat from Mrs.
Larsen!
Buffalo Center
Swimming pool shirts can be picked up at the Drivers Choice Restaurant. Talk to Jim or Sue. Cost is $11 each.
All FCCLA members
need to bring 1 package of Tootsie Pops to the FCS room by Oct. 19th. We will be making ghost suckers at the
meeting on the 19th to sell around Halloween.
There is a sign-up
sheet outside Mr. Potter’s room for anyone interested in Quiz Bowl this
year. Our first competition is October 17th, so be sure to
sign up this week!
Juniors—Students are need to sign up to ride
the cruzin cooler and sell tickets in the stands each
Friday night at home ballgames. Let
Juniors—Please turn in all After Prom raffle money and tickets to Vicki in the office. Please do this daily, so money is not lying around and can be deposited. Please sign up to work at volleyball and football games to sell tickets and we also need riders. Please remember this is for you to have a great After Prom.
Students and Parents--Just a reminder concerning lunch and be sure to check your lunch balance online – if your account is negative you will need to pay cash for seconds or you are not allowed seconds. Students and teachers are reminded to sign up for lunch if you plan to eat. This helps the cooks know how much food to prepare to have enough for everyone.
K-12 Retake Picture
Day is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 13th. Photographers will
start out in Thompson at 8:30 and then go over to B.C. This is for any
staff members or students that were absent on August 31st – or for
anyone that wants a retake. If it is for a retake, please have them bring
their original packet with them that day.
Junior and Senior female students interested in a career
related to Math and Science need to talk to Mr. Hemiller about attending a
conference at
Mr. Hemiller will be collecting can tabs now through October for an organization that will donate them to the Ronald McDonald house. Please bring can tabs to his room.
