Lunch today is:  Lasagna, garlic bread, corn, applesauce.

Reminder--students need to take only what you can eat off of the salad bar and should not dispose of salad bar items.

 

FFA MEMBERS your dues are to be paid to Mr. Meyer by OCT 1st which is Friday.  You have been told at the FFA meetings as well as in the announcements.  PLEASE GET THEM PAID ASAP.  COST IS $16.00, AFTER OCTOBER 1ST THE COST WILL BE GOING UP.  Questions see Mr. Meyer

 

The Rep from AIB in Des Moines be here today at 11:45 in the guidance office.  This is a business school and offers both 2 yr and 4 yr programs.   Stop in to find out more.

 

Any student that is taking an E2020 class must attend a mandatory meeting on Friday, October 1 at 12:35 pm in the HS Media Center.

 

Seniors will have a mandatory Senior class meeting today at 12:30 pm in the Auditorium.

 

NIACC will be hosting a fall basketball league for high school girls in grades 9-12.  The league will be held on Sundays in October (3, 10,17 and 24th).  Cost is $50 per participant. For more information contact Mr. Hinders or Amber Paden.  Registration deadline is October 1.

 

Pink Out shirts are now for sale for the October 14th Volleyball game. Orders MUST be paid for by October 4th at noon... MONDAY! Shirts are $7 for youth Med- Adult xl; $8 for adult 2xl and $9 for adult 3xl. See Dy to order.

 

Juniors:  If you have magazine orders, please turn the orders and money into the office.  We do not want these lying around.  Remember the sales campaign runs through this week Friday.  This is your one and only fundraiser for Prom and to help pay for graduation expenses.

 

There is a sign-up sheet outside Mr. Potter’s room for anyone interested in participating in quiz bowl this year. Don’t know what quiz bowl is? Well, be sure to ask Mr. Potter or attend our organizational meeting we’ll be having on Friday of this week.

 

The quiz bowl meeting will be held on FRIDAY during 9th period in Mr. Potter’s room. 

 

We will have class meetings again today 9th hr.  Please report at the beginning of 9th hour to the following locations:  Seniors in the auditorium, Juniors in the Chorus room, sophomores- multipurpose room, Freshmen in the band room.

 

Student Council: Today we will have a working lunch meeting in the Multi-Purpose room. We will be discussing what will take place at the class meetings this afternoon and possibly Homecoming activities and dress-up days. Please leave your 5th hour class 1 minute early to head down to the lunch room to get your food before heading up to the MPR.

 

Attention Seniors: The Publication Productions class will be in contact with each of you starting this week to create your Senior Spotlight, which will be featured in both the Buffalo Center and Thompson newspapers. Please be checking your email and responding back to these students when you are approached for this information. Any questions, feel free to check in with Mrs. Recker. Thank you!

 

Anyone interested in a pep bus for Friday’s game please talk to Dy-- OR sign up in the Media Center TODAY. Cost will be $5/person and we must have 33 kids to ride. This is open to middle school(6-8) students also. This will NOT include the cost to get you into the game.  If we do not have enough kids signed up and paid by THIS morning we will not have a pep bus on Friday.

 

Lifetouch picture retake day – has been scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 26th starting at 8:30 a.m. – for those that were absent on August 30th or would like a retake.  Please let the office know if you need your picture taken.  Those that are getting retakes need to return the pictures to the photographers that day.
