Tonight’s Homecoming activities are grill out, fun night, and coronation--will all be out at Bison field.

 

The rep from La James International, Fort Dodge will be here at 11:25 today.

 

The following students need to see Mrs. DeBoer immediately after announcements today:  Frank Campos, Morgan Kahler, Maria Mayland, Jessica Adams, Jose Gutierrez, Diedrich Wempen, Kelsey Griffin, Zack Blocker and Barry Troe.

 

The following FFA members/parents are assigned to work the concession stand for the homecoming football game on Friday night: Alex Winter, Evan Sunde, Justin Steinfeldt, Laura Mastin, Logan Hovland, Heetland’s and Dylan Balvance.  We need everyone to help out, as this game will have a big crowd.  If you can’t work YOU MUST find a replacement.

 

The Freshman Skit and Cheer Committee will meet in Mr. Huntington’s Room/Auditorium during Seminar today.  Please send them.  Kory H, Dustin K, Morgan H, Morgan K, Jenna, Jeni, Zack, Maria, Kelsey, Jessica W, Valerie, Missy, Dana,  Jessica A, Brandon, Asia, Macie, Mikayla.

 

SKITS THAT WILL BE PERFORMED AT THE PEP RALLY SHOULD BE NO LONGER THAN 5 MINUTES PER CLASS INCLUDING SET UP TIME.

 

The Homecoming dance will be Saturday night 8:00 to 11:30p.m.  Doors will open at 8:00; doors will close at 8:30 pm.  Please use the east entrance by Supt. Myer’s office.  Students will not be allowed to leave and re-enter the building.  Food and drink will be provided in the FACS room, please keep these items in the FACS room.  Out of town dates need to be signed up in the office for the Homecoming Dance Saturday night.  Only high school dates are allowed; nobody younger will be allowed.

 

It's HOMECOMING week and should be full of Bison Spirit! You guys have been doing AWESOME so far, it's time to kick it up a notch for Homecoming week and really show your Bison Pride!

 

Students involved in 10th - 12th Grade Choral Fest:  we will rehearse on Monday, September 28 at 7:30 a.m. in the choir room.

 

Seniors apply to the Wendy’s High School Heisman Scholarship.  The deadline is Thursday, October 1st.  If at least 5 students from our school apply, we will be eligible for $500 to be put toward our scholarship fund.  Go to www.wendysheisman.com

 

Juniors—Students are need to sign up to ride the cruzin cooler and sell tickets in the stands each Friday night at home ballgames.  Let Mary Berkeland know if you are interested.  Thanks!

 

Juniors—Please turn in all raffle money and tickets to Vicki in the office.  Please do this daily, so money is not lying around and can be deposited.  Please sign up to work at volleyball and football games to sell tickets and we also need riders.  Please remember this is for your to have a great After Prom.

 

ATTENTION Junior Class!  The magazine sales will end this Friday, September 24th. Your HELP is NEEDED today! Your one and ONLY fundraiser for PROM is happening NOW!  Get out and sell today after school!!

 

Students and Parents--Just a reminder concerning lunch and be sure to check your lunch balance online – if your account is negative you will need to pay cash for seconds or you are not allowed seconds.  Students and teachers are reminded to sign up for lunch if you plan to eat.  This helps the cooks know how much food to prepare to have enough for everyone.

 

Students:  The office needs the Race/Ethnicity sheets returned to the office a.s.a.p.  These were given to you for your parents to fill out and need to be returned by each individual in the school.  The report must be turned in to the state department by October 1st. 

 

K-12 Retake Picture Day is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 13th.  Photographers will start out in Thompson at 8:30 and then go over to B.C.  This is for any staff members or students that were absent on August 31st – or for anyone that wants a retake.  If it is for a retake, please have them bring their original packet with them that day.

 

Junior and Senior female students interested in a career related to Math and Science need to talk to Mr. Hemiller about attending a conference at Iowa State University on Thursday, October 15th.  Please see Mr. Hemiller for more information.

 

Mr. Hemiller will be collecting can tabs now through October for an organization that will donate them to the Ronald McDonald house.  Please bring can tabs to his room.

 

Little Bison Childcare Center is looking for a high school student to work after school and on no-school days.  Have to be 16 years old. Stop down at the daycare for an application.
