MAP testing in the high school will start today in the Multipurpose room.  Today will be Language Arts.  Please do your best!

Congratulations to Becca Murray (HS), Alex Balvance (MS) and Shayla Heetland (Elementary) for being chosen as fans of the week last week!

 

The following FFA members are to work at the JV football game tonight:  Troy Kettwick, Eric Krull, Gabe Thomsen, Taylor Thomsen, Kassie Quisling.  Please report by 5:45 pm.  You are expected to work, questions see Mr. Meyer.

 

Results from the Clay Co Fair livestock judging contest on Saturday are as follows: the team of Justin M. Jenna K. and Troy K. placed 6th out of 37 teams and the team of Mark M. JT Roe and Caleb R. placed 16th out of 37 teams.  Justin M. was also our high individual and placed 5th out of 140 contestants.

 

Results from the National Barrow Show judging contest last Monday are as follows: the team of Morgan K. Maranda E. Dylan V. and Nick K. placed 9th out of 44 teams and the team of Jenna K. Carly M. and Megan M placed 23rd out of 44 teams.  High individuals were Jenna K. who placed 7th out of 186 contestants and Morgan K. who placed 15th out 186 contestants.

 

FFA members please get your FFA dues paid by Oct 1st.  Dues are $20.

 

There will be a Speech Meeting today during 9th hour in the MS Media Center.  This is an informational meeting on what Speech is all about and the upcoming Speech dates for the year.  If you’re curious please come and check out Speech.

 

There will be an organizational meeting for HS students today at 2:55 pm in Mrs. Aukes office.  This meeting is to plan for our Oct. 13th blood drive.  Please see Mrs. Aukes if you want to help organize the blood drive.

 

Please dismiss the cross country team today at 2:30.  Thank you.

 

Found: an inhaler last Thursday, Sept. 15th.  You may identify and claim in Mrs. Aukes office.

 

Any high school girl planning on going out for basketball needs to pick up an information sheet today in the office regarding shooting opportunities.

 

Juniors turn in your magazine sales to Mrs. Anderson today.  Please turn in your packets, even if you didn’t sell.  If you have questions talk to Mrs. Anderson.  Today is the FINAL day to turn materials in, we want to send the order into QSP tomorrow.

 

There will be a QUIZ BOWL organizational meeting on Friday during homeroom in Mr. Potter room for all those interesting in participating this year.  Not sure what quiz bowl is all about??  Come find out on Friday.  There will be a sign-up outside Mr. Potter’s room throughout the week.

 

There will be a short Student Council meeting in Mrs. Recker’s room tomorrow, Sept. 20th, from 8:00am-8:20am. Members should check their email for important news from Mrs. Recker and plan on attending this meeting. Thanks!

 

FCCLA members need to turn in Thirty-one orders by Tuesday, September 20th to Mrs. Larsen.  The top sales person will earn a free cosmetic bag or a utility tote.  All members that sell $200 in products may chose a free wrist wallet.  There will be a FCCLA meeting Monday, Sept. 19th at 7:00 p.m. in FCS room.

 

 “Attention high school athletes!  Show your school spirit by purchasing a yard sign with your name and sports on it.  The athletic boosters are donating the signs to all high school athletes in all sports, so all you have to do is buy your name and sports decals.  The sign will be ready to put in your yard Homecoming Week, so it would be great to see as many signs as possible throughout all 4 towns and the countryside!  Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer sports participants are encouraged to purchase now, but a second order can be placed later in the year.  Order forms are available in the HS office and on the NI homepage.  Forms and payments should be returned to the HS office by next Wednesday, Sept. 21st .”

 

Sophomores—Get your slip in to the office today for Open Campus this week.  These are for students whose parents attended Open House on Aug. 23  or Aug. 24th.  Students need to turn in a Parental Permission slip signed by your parent to have Open Campus. Juniors will have Open Campus next week, September 24-28 (Homecoming week).  A list of students eligible for open campus during the designated weeks has been given to the Homeroom advisors.  If you are unsure of this privilege, please see your homeroom teacher today.

 

H.S. students—If you have Open Campus, please do not bring items back to the classrooms to eat.  Seniors need to eat in the Commons or somewhere outside of school. 

 

Students are reminded when leaving their classrooms they are required to sign out and back in in that classroom.  Each classroom teacher will have a checkout sheet provided for you to sign out and in.
