Lunch today is: Cheeseburger macaroni casserole, fresh veggies w/dip, banana half.

Order forms and payment for Homecoming Shirts are due by noon today! You can turn your forms into your homeroom teachers, the office, or Mrs. Recker. Shirts are $10 each, extra order forms can be found on the Homepage or in the office. Thanks for supporting Student Council.

Any high school girl planning on going out for basketball needs to pick up an information sheet today in the office regarding shooting opportunities.

Juniors turn in your magazine sales to Mrs. Anderson today.  Please turn in your packets, even if you didn’t sell.  If you have questions talk to Mrs. Anderson.  Monday is the FINAL day to turn materials in, we want to send the order into QSP on Tuesday.

FFA members attending the livestock judging contest on Saturday, we will leave Buffalo Center at 5:50 am and from Lakota at 6:00 am. Questions please see Mr. Meyer.

FFA members please get your FFA dues paid by Oct 1^st.  Dues are $20.

There will be a short Student Council meeting in Mrs. Recker’s room on Tuesday, Sept. 20^th, from 8:00am-8:20am. Members should check their email for important news from Mrs. Recker and plan on attending this meeting. Thanks!

Freshmen will not have an Opt Out day today, instead there will be a freshmen class meeting today at 3:00 in the auditorium for all freshmen. This is a mandatory meeting for all freshmen.

Pep bus will leave today for Clay Central Everly at 3:45 from the EAST side of the school.

Deadline to register for the ACT test on October 22^nd is today. Go to www.actstudent.org our high school code is 160535.

FCCLA members need to turn in Thirty-one orders by Tuesday, September 20^th to Mrs. Larsen. The top sales person will earn a free cosmetic bag or a utility tote. All members that sell $200 in products may chose a free wrist wallet. There will be a FCCLA meeting Monday, Sept. 19^th at 7:00 p.m. in FCS room.

“Attention high school athletes!  Show your school spirit by purchasing a yard sign with your name and sports on it.  The athletic boosters are donating the signs to all high school athletes in all sports, so all you have to do is buy your name and sports decals.  The sign will be ready to put in your yard Homecoming Week, so it would be great to see as many signs as possible throughout all 4 towns and the countryside!  Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer sports participants are encouraged to purchase now, but a second order can be placed later in the year.  Order forms are available in the HS office and on the NI homepage.  Forms and payments should be returned to the HS office by next Wednesday, Sept. 21^st .”

Sophomores—Get your slip today and have your parents sign for permission for your Open Campus next week. These are for students whose parents attended Open House on Aug. 23 or Aug. 24^th. Students need to turn in a Parental Permission slip signed by your parent to have Open Campus. Juniors will have Open Campus the week of September 24-28 (Homecoming week).  A list of students eligible for this lunch open campus during the designated weeks has been given to the Homeroom advisors. If you are unsure of this privilege, please see your homeroom teacher today.

There will be a Speech Meeting on Monday, Sept. 19^th during 9^th hour in the MS Media Center.  This is an informational meeting on what Speech is all about and the upcoming Speech dates for the year.  If you’re curious please come and check out Speech.

There will be an organizational meeting for HS students this coming Monday, Sept. 19^th, at 2:55 pm in Mrs. Aukes office.  This meeting is to plan for our Oct. 13th blood drive.  Please see Mrs. Aukes if you want to help organize the blood drive.

Students: At our athletic events, please remember to represent North Iowa well by standing during the National Anthem and the introduction of our participants and the opposing participants.  Bison Pride includes good sportsmanship!

Just a reminder when attending North Iowa home events that no outside food or drinks are to be allowed into the event. Please use the regular entrances do not come/leave through open gym doors. Once you are in an event and decide to leave you will not be readmitted unless administrative approval has been granted beforehand.

H.S. students—If you have Open Campus, please do not bring items back to the classrooms to eat.  Seniors need to eat in the Commons or somewhere outside of school. 

Students are reminded when leaving their classrooms they are required to sign out and back in in that classroom. Each classroom teacher will have a checkout sheet provided for you to sign out and in.

Happy birthday to Taylor Carpentier and Terell Wilson whose birthdays will be tomorrow, Saturday, September 17^th. Hope you both have great birthdays!!
