Congratulations to the following students who are underclassmen attendants:  Freshmen:  Morgan Kahler and Troy Kettwick; Sophomores: Macy Heetland and Taylor Thomsen; Juniors: Haley Martinson and Mitch Larson.

Congratulations to senior students who are queen and king candidates for Homecoming Queen and King:  Shelby Heetland, Samantha Gelhaus, Chelsey Swenson, Audrey Risius, and Janie Penning, Ben Matson, Isaac Buffington, Holden Asmus, Chad Oltoff, and Joey Charlson.

 

The freshmen, sophomore, and junior homecoming attendants will have their picture taken today, Monday, September 14th at 11:25 on the steps by Mr. Myer’s office.  Report to seminar and then to have your picture taken.   

 

The class with the most Spirit this last week was the Freshman class. In second place was the Senior class. Third place went to the Sophomore class. And the Junior class is upholding the end of the line with a three-peat in the 4th place spot. 

 

Due to the awesome school spirit there will now be one female and one male spirit award weekly! Congratulations to Scotty Evans and Becca Siemens for showing the most school spirit this week! Both will receive 25 points for thier class and spirit awards!!

 

Get ready for another week of Bison Spirit! We have XC Monday, home Volleyball on Tuesday, and home Football games on Monday (JV) and Friday this week! We scream, you scream and you could win the ice cream!  Go BIG BLUE!!

 

Juniors and seniors in Mr. De Boer’s seminar should report to Mr. Hemiller today.  Freshmen to Mr. Potter.  Sophomores from Mr. De Boer’s seminar will report to Mr. Potter after the exemplar.

 

Today the sophomores will take the math exemplar test.  Sophomores should report to the MPR for seminar for this test, just like they did for the computation test.  Calculators are allowed on this test, but are not necessary and will not be provided

 

FFA members need to help out with the concessions stand tonight at the JV football game.  I also need 1 more FFA member for livestock judging this Sat at Clay Co. Fair.

 

The yearbook staff will meet tomorrow during seminar in the multipurpose room.

Junior magazine sales has been very slow.  Remember the deadline is this week Friday, September 18th.

 

Juniors—QSP sales people--Remember there are cash prizes for every 5 sales you make.  Draw a scratch card and receive a cash reward.  Also for PEOPLE magazine subscriptions, you receive the amount of 2 sales for a subscription of 22 issues and 4 sales for a subscription of 1 year.  Don’t forget to contact school personnel, family, friends or co-workers.  Tell them it’s a fundraiser for prom and ask if they would like to order a CD, magazine or book. 

 

Juniors—Please turn in all raffle money and tickets to Vicki in the office.  Please do this daily, so money is not lying around and can be deposited.  Please sign up to work at volleyball and football games to sell tickets and we also need riders.  Please remember this is for your to have a great After Prom.

 

Students:  The office needs the Race/Ethnicity sheets returned to the office a.s.a.p.  These were given to you for your parents to fill out and need to be returned by each individual in the school.  The report must be turned in to the state department by October 1st. 

 

Starting September 16 the Methodist Church (across the street south) will be holding Bible Study and will need parking available in front of the church from 12 pm-3 pm. Please make sure every Wednesday throughout the year you do not have your vehicle parked in front of the church.  Thanks!

 

Junior and Senior female students interested in a career related to Math and Science need to talk to Mr. Hemiller about attending a conference at Iowa State University on Thursday, October 15th.  Please see Mr. Hemiller for more information.

 

Mr. Hemiller will be collecting can tabs now through October for an organization that will donate them to the Ronald McDonald house.  Please bring can tabs to his room.

 

Students are not allowed to bring food and/or beverages sold outside of the school building to home athletic activities where a concession stand is being provided.  If you must eat or drink something from another venue, please do so at that establishment or outside of the school building.  Thank you.

 

Study Tables will run Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in the HS Media Center. 

 

Little Bison Childcare Center is looking for a high school student to work after school and on no-school days.  Have to be 16 years old. Stop down at the daycare for an application.

 

Happy Belated birthday to Morgan Hassebroek whose birthday was yesterday, September 14th.  Happy birthday today to Brittany Knudtson and Amber Paden.
