We will have class meetings today during Seminar to start planning for Homecoming activities on the week of September 21-26.  Students will be dismissed from their 2nd period class at 11:15 am and need to report to the following meeting locations:

       Seniors – Multi-purpose room

       Juniors – HS Media Center

       Sophomores – Auditorium

       Freshmen – Band room

 

Tonight’s VB match versus Osage has been declared Toga night.  Wear your best toga and support the girls tonight.  Go Lady Bison!

 

Show your Bison Spirit! We have Volleyball, Cross Country and Football games this week so you have plenty of chances to raise your score! Remember the class with the most points gets an ice-cream social at the end of the season. Show your school spirit!! We will be looking for it all week!  Go Bison!!

 

Attention High School Students:  Friday (tomorrow) is the last day to vote for the name of the school newsletter.  Please click on the link on the high school webpage entitled: Help Name the School Newsletter! to complete the survey and choose from one of five possible names. Remember to log-in in order to vote!

 

Football players bus will be leaving at 3:45 tomorrow (Friday) for game at Newell-Fonda.

 

You are invited to join the before the game Tailgate party at Newll-Fonda starting at 6:00 p.m.  Menu consists of grilled porkburgers, chips, drink and a treat for $5.00.  Extra burgers are $3.00.

 

Juniors—If you make enough money selling magazines, the extra money raised will help cover the cost of your graduation caps and gowns.

 

Juniors—QSP sales people--Remember there are cash prizes for every 5 sales you make.  Draw a scratch card and receive a cash reward.  Also for PEOPLE magazine subscriptions, you receive the amount of 2 sales for a subscription of 22 issues and 4 sales for a subscription of 1 year.  Don’t forget to contact school personnel, family, friends or co-workers.  Tell them it’s a fundraiser for prom and ask if they would like to order a CD, magazine or book.  The campaign will end Friday, September 18th.

 

Juniors—Please turn in all raffle money and tickets to Vicki in the office.  Please do this daily, so money is not lying around and can be deposited.  Please sign up to work at volleyball and football games to sell tickets and we also need riders.  Please remember this is for your to have a great After Prom.

 

Reminder: All English 10 students MUST bring their independent reading book with them to class everyday, especially today. Thank you!

 

Students:  The office needs the Race/Ethnicity sheets returned to the office a.s.a.p.  These were given to you for your parents to fill out and need to be returned by each individual in the school.  The report must be turned in to the state department by October 1st. 

 

Junior and Senior female students interested in a career related to Math and Science need to talk to Mr. Hemiller about attending a conference at Iowa State University on Thursday, October 15th.  Please see Mr. Hemiller for more information.

 

Mr. Hemiller will be collecting can tabs now through October for an organization that will donate them to the Ronald McDonald house.  Please bring can tabs to his room.

 

Cross Country shirt prices are as follows, t-shirts $14, long sleeves $16, S-L sweatshirts $22 and XL sweatshirts $24.  The money is due to Tia Dupont by tomorrow.

 

Students are not allowed to bring food and/or beverages sold outside of the school building to home athletic activities where a concession stand is being provided.  If you must eat or drink something from another venue, please do so at that establishment or outside of the school building.  Thank you.

 

Students at school activities are still under school rules and policies.  Behavior at school activities needs to be positive and appropriate, or you may be asked to leave.

 

Study Tables will run Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in the HS Media Center. 

 

Students need to make sure that they have their planners/passports with them when in the halls and during class.

 

Little Bison Childcare Center is looking for a high school student to work after school and on no-school days.  Have to be 16 years old. Stop down at the daycare for an application.
