Lunch today is: Goulash, garlic bread, lettuce salad, apple
half.
High School students need to
turn in Parental Permission slip signed by your parent before next week if you
want to have Open Campus. These are only
students whose parents attended the Open House on Aug. 23 and 24th. Stop by the office to pick you the form.
At tonight’s football game we
will be recognizing senior participants in the activities of Band, Cross
Country, Cheerleading, Football. Parents meet at the concessions
blacktopped area at 6:30 p.m.
Football
cheerleaders: tonight is parents night for seniors. We will be leaving for the
field at 6pm instead of 6:15. Please make sure you are on time!
The Cross Country team will
be placing a shirt order today. T-shirts will be $15 apiece. If you
are interested in purchasing a shirt to help support the team, please talk to
Macy Heetland or Coach Potter. Orders (with
money) are due today. Check out this year’s colors and design in the
media center.
Students will have the
opportunity to opt out of 9th period starting the week of September
12. Students eligible to opt out of 9th period must have all
homework completed for teachers, have positive attendance, and no disciplinary
issues.
Seniors will meet today in
the auditorium at 12:40 pm today. Plan your lunch time wisely so you are
at the meeting.
Auditions for the Fall Play
will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, September 12th in
the auditorium.
Juniors—Please check your
email concerning magazine sales. The
office has not had any orders brought in for sales so far. The following students brought in Postcard
Booklets—Mikaella Holstad,
Dylan Adams, Jordan Anderson.

Football
cheerleading pictures with Patty Jo are today at 3:30. Please excuse the girls
at 3:20 to the locker rooms.
Students: At our
athletic events, please remember to represent North Iowa well by standing
during the National Anthem and the introduction of our participants and the
opposing participants. Bison Pride
includes good sportsmanship!
Just
a reminder when attending North Iowa home events that no outside food or drinks
are to be allowed into the event. Please
use the regular entrances do not come/leave through open gym doors. Once you are
in an event and decide to leave you will not be readmitted unless
administrative approval has been granted beforehand.
AJ of KIMT-TV called and said
that they would be at our home football game this Friday.
Let's have a contest! Best
sign or banner hung on the fence at the football field on Friday! We can't have
signs in the stands, so they have to be hung. Winners will get spirit fan
prizes. Open to any all classes. Make sure names are on the back of the posters. Tape will be supplied.
Students whose parents
attended the HS Open House will be allowed to have a week of open campus for
lunch during the following weeks: Next week--
Freshmen – September
12-16; Sophomores – September 19-23; Juniors – September 24-28
(Homecoming week). A list of students eligible for this lunch open campus
during the designated weeks will be given to the Homeroom advisors.

in the HS media center and can be turned in to Dy in
the ELEM media center at any time.
FFA members attending the
National Barrow Show on Monday, the bus will be leaving at 6:45am from Mr.
Meyer’s room. Make sure you get your make-up slip as well. Questions please
see Mr. Meyer.
We will be offering a pep bus
to next weeks game against Clay Central Everly (in
Royal, IA) for kids in grades 5-12. Cost
to ride the bus is $5 and we need to have 35 kids signed up and PAID by noon on
Wednesday 9/14. Sign up is in the
office. Bus will leave at 3:45 from BC
and will pick up in Lakota at 3:55 and drop off on the way home.
If you are interested in
taking the ACT test at North Iowa High School on Saturday, October 22.
You need to register and pay fees by September 16th. Go to www.actstudent.org to register. Use
MasterCard, VISA, or Discover to pay for the exam. The North Iowa High
School Code is 160535. See Mr. Huntington if you need further
information. The North Iowa Test Center has a capacity of 30, so don’t
wait to the last minute or you will be taking it in Algona or Mason City.
WHO'S
READY FOR WINTER COATS? Certainly that is the last thing on everyone’s minds!
But fall is here and that means it's time to order letter jackets! The rep from
Neff will be here on Sept 15th over the lunch hour. Order packets area
available in the office by Lisa and can be picked up anytime. Jackets will be
fitted and orders can be placed on the 15th. OR you can order any time online
using the code listed on the fliers. Jackets ordered on the 15th should be here
by the beginning of November--which is
about the time you will need another layer!
********Also,
those that have ordered jackets and are interested in adding activity specific
patches should stop in and see Alan (Neff Rep) when he is here. He will be able
to get generic patches ordered--OR you can personalize your patches at anytime
ONLINE at www.neff.com

members will be selling Thirty-one products until Sept. 20th. The top sales person will earn a free
cosmetic bag or a utility tote. All
members that sell $200 in products may chose a free wrist wallet. Our
consultant will be a Thursday's volleyball game to answer questions.)

H.S. students—If you have
Open Campus, please do not bring items back to the classrooms to eat.
Seniors need to eat in the Commons or somewhere outside of school.
Students
are reminded when leaving their classrooms they are required to sign out and
back in in that classroom. Each
classroom teacher will have a checkout sheet provided for you to sign out and
in.
