Campbell (Elem) for being chosen as the Fans of the Week last week! Great job
showing your school spirit!
Auditions for the Fall Play
will be held from 4pm to 7pm on Monday September 12th in the
auditorium.
Juniors—Please
check your email concerning magazine sales.
8th period weights
class report to study hall today. If Mr. Anderson returns before 8th
period, you will have class.
High school volleyball
practice will be at 4:15 today.
We
will be offering a pep bus to next weeks game against
Clay Central Everly (in Royal, Iowa) for kids in
grades 5-12. Cost to ride the bus is $5 and we need to have 35 kids signed up
and PAID by noon on Wednesday 9/14. Sign up is in the office. Bus will leave at
3:45 from BC and will pick up in Lakota at 3:55 and drop off on the way home.
English 10 Students: Please
remember to bring your independent novel with you to class today. You will not
be allowed to sign out of the room for any reason (bathroom, locker, etc. ) so be prepared. Not having your novel will result in
loss of participation credit. ~Mrs. Recker
We will have a pep rally for
our VB girls on Thursday, September 8 at 3:05 in the North Gym. Band
students will go straight to the Band room after 8th period. All
other HS students should report to Homeroom first for attendance and then go to
the North Gym.
The student council meeting has been moved to Wednesday, Sept. 7th during
homeroom. Members should report to their homerooms first for attendance and
then report to Mrs. Recker’s room for the meeting at
3:00pm. Thanks!
FCCLA
members will be selling Thirty-one products until Sept. 20th. The top sales person will earn a free
cosmetic bag or a utility tote. All
members that sell $200 in products may chose a free
wrist wallet. Our consultant will be a Thursday's volleyball game to answer
questions.)
Students whose parents
attended the HS Open House will be allowed to have a week of open campus for
lunch during the following weeks: Freshmen – September 12-16; Sophomores – September 19-23; Juniors – September 24-28
(Homecoming week). A list of students eligible for this lunch open campus
during the designated weeks will be given to the Homeroom advisors.

Alex Winter and Emily Ullmann – please stop by the business office to pick up
sport pass today.
The Cross Country team will
be placing a shirt order this Friday, September 9th. T-shirts
will be $15 apiece. If you are interested in purchasing a shirt to help
support the team, please talk to Macy Heetland or
Coach Potter. Orders (with money) are due by the 9th.

Cell phones are not allowed
to be used during any class time. Any use of cell phone without teacher
permission will result in confiscation of cell phone. Please refer to
page 17 of the student handbook.
Seniors are only eligible if
they have their Open Campus form sign by a parent and turned into the
office. Open Campus privileges may be revoked for overdue/late homework,
poor attendance, negative behaviors, or at the discretion of Mr. Embrock.
Forms for Open Campus can be picked up in the HS office. Any student that lives in town or has a
direct relative (parent, grandparent) may go home or to the relative’s home
during lunch. Forms to go home for lunch can be found in the HS office
and need to be signed by a parent and returned.
H.S. students—If you have Open Campus, please do not bring items back to
the classrooms to eat. Seniors need to eat in the Commons or somewhere outside
of school.
Students will have the
opportunity to opt out of 9th period starting the week of September
12. Students eligible to opt out of 9th period must have all
homework completed for teachers, have positive
attendance, and no disciplinary issues.
Students
are reminded when leaving their classrooms they are required to sign out and
back in in that classroom. Each
classroom teacher will have a checkout sheet provided for you to sign out and
in.
