THERE
IS A PEP BUS GOING TODAY TO SHEFFIELD.
Students are reminded the pep bus will leave from Buffalo Center at 4:30
and Thompson at 4:40!
All 9 thru 12 grade students need to have their picture taken next
week, Tuesday, September 6th.
You are not required to purchase any pictures, we just need to have your
photograph for the yearbook. If you did
not get the picture packet, and need one, please stop by the office today. Please dress appropriately. Thanks!
Students who’s parents
attended the HS Open House last week will be allowed to have a week of open
campus for lunch during the following weeks: Freshmen – September 12-16;
Sophomores – September 19-23; Juniors – September 24-28 (Homecoming
week). A list of students eligible for this lunch open campus during the
designated weeks will be given to the Homeroom advisors.
Last chance to get your
student handbook parent acknowledgement forms turned in on time. They are
due to the Main Office today!
Junior
Class--Reminder to turn in your Postcard book today. Also take advantage of the long holiday
weekend to make contacts with family, friends, and neighbors. It's a
great time to get out there and see if anyone would like to renew or buy
new. The final day is Tuesday, September 13th.
The Cross Country team will
be placing a shirt order on Friday, September 9th. T-shirts
will be $15 apiece. If you are interested in purchasing a shirt to help
support the team, please talk to Macy Heetland or
Coach Potter. Orders (with money) are due by the 9th.
Check out this year’s colors and design in the media center.
FCCLA
members will be selling Thirty-one products as a fund raiser until Sept.
20th. Products will be displayed at a
table at the volleyball games on Sept. 6th and 8th. Members who missed the 1st meeting should see Mrs. Larsen to get
catalogs and order blanks.
Reminder
that each class grades 9-12 need to come up with a class logo to go in the
display case. Please have these to Dy before you
leave today! Thanks!
FFA dues are $20.00 payable
by Oct 1st questions see Mr. Meyer.
The following should stop by
the business office to pick up sport pass. Josh Hofbauer,
Morgan Kahler, Troy Kettwick, Kayla Stelter, Taylor Thomsen, Emily Ullmann,
Alex Winter, Jessica Wubben.
Cell phones are not allowed
to be used during any class time. Any use of cell phone without teacher
permission will result in confiscation of cell phone. Please refer to page
17 of the student handbook.
Seniors are only eligible if
they have their Open Campus form sign by a parent and turned into the
office. Open Campus privileges may be revoked for overdue/late homework,
poor attendance, negative behaviors, or at the discretion of Mr. Embrock.
Forms for Open Campus can be picked up in the HS office. Any student that lives in town or has a
direct relative (parent, grandparent) may go home or to the relative’s home
during lunch. Forms to go home for lunch can be found in the HS office
and need to be signed by a parent and returned.
H.S. students—If you have
Open Campus, please do not bring items back to the classrooms to eat.
Seniors need to eat in the Commons or somewhere outside of school.
Students will have the opportunity
to opt out of 9th period starting the week of September 12.
Students eligible to opt out of 9th period must have all homework
completed for teachers, have positive attendance, and no disciplinary issues.
Students
are reminded when leaving their classrooms they are required to sign out and
back in in that classroom. Each
classroom teacher will have a checkout sheet provided for you to sign out and
in.
Happy birthday to Madison Stenerson,
whose birthday is today, September 2nd. Also Nicole Flynn will celebrate her birthday
on Monday, September 5th.
