Lunch
today is: Sloppy joe
on bun, french fries,
apricots.
The Bison football team and
coaching staff would like to thank the student body for their support and
enthusiasm Friday night. It was a great
atmosphere at Bison Field and you were a big help to the team. Hope you can
make it to Sheffield this Friday.
We are offering a pep bus to
Sheffield on Friday. Cost is $5 to ride
and leave time is 4:30. You must be
signed up by Thursday noon. 25 kids are
needed to ride for the bus to go. Open
to kids grades 5 through 12 only. KIMT will be there for the spotlight game of
the week.
Practice for high school
volleyball will be at 4:15 today.
Juniors—Please pick up
from the office a collection envelope for your QSP orders. Remember today is the day to turn in the
Postcard Booklets and receive a noisy duck keychain and chewy warheads. The ending
day for QSP sales is Tuesday, September 13th. There will absolutely not be any
extensions this year for sales. Again
the final day is Tuesday, September 13th.
There will be an
informational meeting regarding the Fall Play @3:00 today in the auditorium. This is a meeting for people to come and show
interest in the Fall Play. Please report
to the auditorium at 3:00.
FCCLA
members will be selling Thirty-one products as a fund raiser until Sept.
20th. Products will be displayed at a
table at the volleyball games on Sept. 6th and 8th. Members who missed the 1st meeting should see Mrs. Larsen to get
catalogs and order blanks.
Reminder that each class grades 9-12
need to come up with a class logo to go in the display case. Please have
these to Dy before you leave on Friday! Thanks!
Lifetouch pictures will be taken on Tuesday, September 6th. That
will be the day after Labor Day holiday.
Please dress appropriately.

The FFA has room for 5 more
members who would like to attend the ISU vs Texas
Football game on Sat Oct 1st in Ames. If interested please see
Mr. Meyer by 3:30 TODAY.
FFA dues are $20.00 payable

Winter, Jessica Wubben.
Included in the student
planners/passports is a copy of the student handbook. All students are
responsible for reviewing the NIHS policies explained in the student
handbook. There is a Parent Acknowledgement of Review of the Student
Handbook form on page 39 of the handbook that needs to
be turned in by this Friday, September 2nd,
into the HS office.
Make sure your clothing is
appropriate for the school environment. Clothes are not allowed to be too
revealing or tight. Students will be asked to change clothes. Please refer to page 11 of the student
handbook if you have any questions.
Cell phones are not allowed
to be used during any class time. Any use of cell phone without teacher
permission will result in confiscation of cell phone. Please refer to
page 17 of the student handbook.
Seniors are only eligible if
they have their Open Campus form sign by a parent and turned into the
office. Open Campus privileges may be revoked for overdue/late homework,
poor attendance, negative behaviors, or at the discretion of Mr. Embrock.
Please do not bring items back to the classrooms to eat. Seniors need to
eat in the Commons or somewhere outside of school. Forms for Open Campus
can be picked up in the HS office.
Any student that lives in
town or has a direct relative (parent, grandparent) may go home or to the
relative’s home during lunch. Forms to go home for lunch can be found in
the HS office and need to be signed by a parent and returned.
Freshmen
and Sophomores will report to the HS Media Center
after 5th period before going to lunch. You will be dismissed
to lunch by Mrs. Hamilton or another staff member. Seniors and Juniors will go through the lunch line first with Sophomores
and Freshmen to follow. Students must be either in the Commons or HS
Media Center during lunch. There should
be NO food in the classrooms unless it is a special pre-approved event.
Book bags are not allowed in
the classrooms. Please leave your book bags in your lockers and carry
books and other classroom materials to class.
Students will have the
opportunity to opt out of 9th period starting the week of September
12. Students eligible to opt out of 9th period must have all
homework completed for teachers, have positive
attendance, and no disciplinary issues.
Students
are reminded when leaving their classrooms they are required to sign out and
back in in that classroom. Each
classroom teacher will have a checkout sheet provided for you to sign out and
in.
