5/18/11-Day A
Today’s lunch is: Chili dog, whipped potatoes, strawberries.
Students planning on attending
the Iowa State Track meet: Today is the last day to get your
make-up slip from the office. You need to get all teachers signatures
before being excused. Our first event isn’t until 2:00 pm, so students
should be able to attend class until 10:00 am. Also, each student must
report to Mr. Hemiller when arriving to Drake Stadium.
Seniors last official day is
tomorrow (Thursday). All seniors need to
pick up a checkout sheet and reserve tickets for graduation today. Thanks!
Seniors will have graduation
practice from 1:30 to 3:30 today. First report to the auditorium, then you will
report to the gym for graduation practice.
There will be a working
lunch meeting for Yearbook staff on Monday, May 23 in the ICN room.
Students need to return ALL
checked out materials to the correct media center TODAY.

Congratulations
to the boys golf team for there 4th place finish at sectional. They missed going to districts by 3 strokes,
but they did a great job. Congratulations to Eric Krull for his second place
finish over with a 75 which makes him eligible for Districts. WELL DONE!!
Congratulations to the girls
golf team for there 3th place finish Districts yesterday. The girls scored a
373 to advance to regionals. Haley
Engelbarts finished with a 9th place overall with a 109. The girls golf team finished the year with 18
and 9 record. Thank you for a great
year—and nice job.
Coach Garza
would like to thank all the boys and girls varsity and JV players for
coming out for golf this year. All of you made coaching you lots of fun. Hope to see you next year!!
There will be an
informational meeting next on Tuesday, May 24th, in the HS
Auditorium during 9th period for those that plan on participating in
HS football next fall. This will include current 8th grade students.
Students are reminded to
dress appropriately for school. Even though the weather is getting
warmer, clothing should not overly revealing – too tight, too short, etc.
If you have any questions about appropriate dress, please ask your teachers or
the office.
The following FFA members owe
$50 for their FFA jacket: Ryan Schiefelbein, Dylan Voortmann,
Jenna Shutter, Josh Hofbauer, Brandi Swenson, Tate

Anyone interested in FOOTBALL
or COMPETITION CHEER for next year needs to have tryout forms turned in by next
Friday (May 20th) to Dy.

TOWEL MONEY. Chelsey Adams, Haley Williams, Jessica
Adams, Kelsey Griffin, Caitlin Sahr and McKhayla Paul need to turn in cheer camp balances ASAP to
the business office. Check your email for your balance due.
Varsity softball practice for
those in golf/track report to practice after your golf or track practice.
Also for anyone who can make it, hitting practice will be on Tuesday and Friday
mornings from 7:00 to 7:45 at the softball field.
Those students who haven’t
turned in their pre-registrations sheets will not be able to opt out of 9th
periods until they are turned in.
Please check your lunch
account balance! If your family account is negative $10.00 or more you
will need to bring $2.25 to eat lunch or please bring a sack lunch. ---Sheryl

books that have not been turned in from the musical. Please turn in to the
business office today!
