Quiz Bowl team, Golf JV/Varsity team, Individual Speech, Yearbook Staff photos will be taken today at 12:30.  Meet by the elementary media center.  Golf team bring your shirts and wear them for the photo.

 

All seniors are invited for breakfast, provided by the faculty, in the multipurpose room tomorrow morning from 7:45 to 8:15.

 

Seniors last official day is this Thursday.  All seniors need to pick up a checkout sheet and reserve tickets for graduation today.  Thanks!

 

Seniors will have graduation practice from 1:30 to 3:30 Wednesday.  First report to the auditorium, then you will report to the gym for graduation practice.

 

Congratulations to the boys golf team for there 4th place finish at sectional.  They missed going to districts by 3 strokes, but they did a great job. Congratulations to Eric Krull for his second place finish over with a 75 which makes him eligible for Districts. WELL DONE!!

 

Congratulations to the girls golf team for there 3th place finish Districts yesterday. The girls scored a 373 to advance to regionals.  Haley Engelbarts finished with a 9th place overall with a 109.  The girls golf team finished the year with 18 and 9 record.  Thank you for a great year—and nice job.

 

Coach Garza would like to thank all the boys and girls varsity and JV players for coming out for golf this year. All of you made coaching you lots of fun.  Hope to see you next year!!

 

Tonight is Awards Night at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium.  All students involved in extra-curricular activities/or high academics should attend.

 

There will be a baseball/softball parent meeting after the Award's Night program tonight, starting at approximately 8:30 p.m.

 

There will be an informational meeting next on Tuesday, May 24th, in the HS Auditorium during 9th period for those that plan on participating in HS football next fall. This will include current 8th grade students.

 

Today there will be a State track and golf pep rally for the high school and middle school students.  Students are dismissed to north gym at 2:50.

 

The following FCCLA members will be dismissed at 2:40 to go to the gym lobby to cut duct tape!!!  JT Roe, Amber Paden, Jenna Schutter, Jessica Wubben, Dana Stelter, Bella Ruhnke, and Morgan Hassebroek.  Thanks!

 

Concerning duct Tape event--Mr. Embrock and Mr. Hemiller are currently in the lead, you can still purchase tape this morning from Mrs. Larsen in the FCS room.  Remember to get tape for Mr. Meyer and Mrs. Recker too!  Tape is $1 per yard----you'll get a 6th yard free if you purchase 5 yards or have purchased 5 yards already!!

 

We still need a few senior photos---Please  bring them in to Holly Arnevik for the yearbook.  You can also email them to arnevik@northiowa.org.  You can submit two different poses.

 

Students are reminded to dress appropriately for school.  Even though the weather is getting warmer, clothing should not overly revealing – too tight, too short, etc.  If you have any questions about appropriate dress, please ask your teachers or the office.

 

Students need to return ALL checked out materials to the correct media center by Wednesday, May 18th

 

The following FFA members owe $50 for their FFA jacket:  Ryan Schiefelbein, Dylan Voortmann, Jenna Shutter, Josh Hofbauer, Brandi Swenson, Daniel Miller, Tate Corporon.

 

Anyone interested in FOOTBALL or COMPETITION CHEER for next year needs to have tryout forms turned in by next Friday (May 20th) to Dy.

 

The following people owe fines: McKhayla Paul, Kelsey Ufford, Mike Limon, Shanandoah Hamsmith. The items will need to be paid for before I will be able to sign your check out sheet at the end of the year. ---Sheryl Davids (Business Office)

 

Haley Williams please turn in TOWEL MONEY. Chelsey Adams, Haley Williams, Jessica Adams, Kelsey Griffin, Caitlin Sahr and McKhayla Paul need to turn in cheer camp balances ASAP to the business office. Check your email for your balance due.

 

Varsity softball practice for those in golf/track report to practice after your golf or track practice.  Also for anyone who can make it, hitting practice will be on Tuesday and Friday mornings from 7:00 to 7:45 at the softball field. 

 

Those students who haven’t turned in their pre-registrations sheets will not be able to opt out of 9th periods until they are turned in.

 

Please check your lunch account balance!  If your family account is negative $10.00 or more you will need to bring $2.25 to eat lunch or please bring a sack lunch. ---Sheryl Davids

 

There are still four vocal books that have not been turned in from the musical. Please turn in to the business office today!
