IAHSGCA ranked Eric Krull #1 in the state for class 1A. GREAT JOB, ERIC!!!!

golf team for finishing 6th in the NIC and Eric Krull for his 76. This makes him the medalist.
In the NIC golf meet out girls
placed 4th overall with Haley Engelbarts and Jessica Bruhns
both ranked 10th. Good job!!

and Haley Engelbarts for being Medalist at the golf meet against CWL. Eric Krull shot a 34 and Haley shot a 48 Dana
Stelter was runner-up with a score of 57.
Golf practice at Gruis today after school. Anyone needing a ride, should meet on the west
side of school.
FFA members planning to show
livestock at the Winnebago Co Fair your ID sheets are due to Mr. Meyer by
Friday May 13th.
Any students or FFA members
planning to drive their tractor to school on Friday need to stop down and sign
up in Mr. Meyer’s room TODAY.
There will be a yearbook
meeting for everyone to finalize and look over pages on Thursday 9th
hour in the Elementary Media Center. If you attended the meeting
yesterday (Tuesday) it is not necessary to come, but you can to work again on
your pages if it works out for you. I know track kids won’t be able to
attend. Have as much done on your pages as possible. I will
print off the pages before the meeting so we can look them over and finalize
and get suggestions from each other.
There will be group photos
taken for the following on Thursday at 12:30: Individual Speech and
Yearbook. Please meet outside the elementary media center at that
time.
All Sophomores and Juniors
will meet in the auditorium today at 3:00 pm to discuss PSEO Classes and a
“Virtual Academy” opportunity with NIACC.

Troy Kettwick, and Rachel Boekelman. These
students have demonstrated positive Citizenship traits and have represented our
school and communities well.
Students of the Month for April check your emails for a questionnaire to fill
out. Congratulations!!
Varsity softball practice for
those in golf/track report to practice after your golf or track practice.
Also for anyone who can make it, hitting practice will be on Tuesday and Friday
mornings from 7:00 to 7:45 at the softball field.
The senior check-out sheets
will be available Friday morning.
All PSEO Books Need to be
handed in by Thursday.
If any one is interested in
ordering a state track t-shirt Shelby Heetland will
be in the gym lobby on Thursday (tomorrow) during the lunch hour and
Friday in the morning from 8 to 8:30 with a sign up sheet. T-shirts
need to be paid for when you sign up so bring the money or the t-shirt
will not be ordered. T-shirts cost $10 for sizes small to XL and
$11 for 2X and 3X. The sign up sheet will also be at the district
track meet on Thursday with Dawn Heetland.
Those students who haven’t
turned in their pre-registrations sheets will not be able to opt out of 9th
periods until they are turned in.

in your Senior Photos to Holly Arnevik for the yearbook. You can also email them to arnevik@northiowa.org.
You can submit two different poses.
Graduation----It’s getting
closer!!!!---Seniors may post graduation party invites on the bulletin board in
the front hall if you like.

Attention students 8th
grade through 11th grade:
The high school student council is accepting applications for the 2011-2012
school year. If you are interested in representing your class by serving as a
student council member, please pick up an application in the high school/middle
school office, complete it, and return it to the office by Friday, May 13th.
Please read the application carefully, and if you have any questions, don’t
hesitate to ask a current student council member or Mrs. Recker!
Please check your lunch
account balance! If your family account is negative $10.00 or more you
will need to bring $2.25 to eat lunch or please bring a sack lunch. ---Sheryl

On
May 17th, during 9th hour, an FCCLA will provide North Iowa students with the
opportunity to duct tape 3 teachers- Mrs. Recker, Mr. Meyer. Mr. Hemiller, and
Mr. Embrock to a wall. FCCLA members
will be visiting 9th hour study halls starting today to sell the tape-which
will be $1 per yard. You may by as many yards as you want and specify which
teacher you want it to be used on. The individual that buys the most tape for
each teacher may help with the taping of that person.
FCCLA
members are reminded that you need to bring one roll of duct tape to the FCS
room before May 17!!
Anyone interested in FOOTBALL
or COMPETITION CHEER for next year can pick up a tryout packet from Dy.
A sign-up sheet is available
in the high school office for anyone interested in taking Lifeguard
Training. You MUST be 15 years old at the start of the class to
participate. The class will start at 9:00 on Saturday, May 28 with a
pre-requisite swim and introduction of materials. It will resume on Tuesday,
May 31st and run through Saturday, June 4th. Class
times will run from 9:00-12:00. The cost is $75. Please sign up by
Wednesday, May 4th so the correct number of books can be ordered. Anyone
interested in Lifeguard RE-CERTIFICATION is also encouraged to sign up in the
office. Contact Kim Ostermann if you have any questions.
WANTED:
Track Pictures! Help me fill the bulletin board with your favorite track
photos! Email them to Dy or bring them in. Photos
will be returned the last day of school 5/25.
There are still four vocal
books that have not been turned in from the musical. Please turn in to the
business office today!

“$500 Scholarship for NIACC by attending the free
four day Youth Entrepreneurial Academy (YEA). It is from Sunday, June 19
– Thursday, June 23rd. You stay at the dorms during the week
and all expenses are paid. Complete applications as soon as possible which are
