Seniors, please bring a baby photo and a senior picture to the office for the graduation slideshow by Monday, May 2nd.

 

Reminder: Deadline is May 2nd to bring in your Senior Photos to Holly Arnevik for the yearbook.  You can also email them to arnevik@northiowa.org.  You can submit two different poses.

 

There will golf practice today after school.  Anyone needing a ride meet on the west side of the school.

 

Please dismiss the track teams today at 2:15.  Thank you.

 

Any student who will NOT BE participating in the Grand March and is bringing an out-of-town date to Prom on Saturday, needs to sign up your name and date’s name in the high school office.  No dates 21 years and older will be allowed to attend.

 

There will be an informational meeting for everyone attending prom on Friday, April 29th at 12:30 in the auditorium.  Underclassmen that are attending should be there too.  Thanks! 

 

If you have not picked up your prom t-shirt, you may it pick up in the high school media before you leave today.  Just ask an adult for help.  Thanks!

 

Senior Student Council members will meet in the FCS room for a working lunch today.  Grab your lunch and meet in the FCS by 12:20 pm.

 

Student Council members: Please meet at 12:45 in Mrs. Recker’s room for a picture today.

 

Swing Choir will rehearse tomorrow (Friday, April 29) at 7:30 a.m. in the choir room.

 

The Music Booster Scholarship applications are due to Kathi Nelson by (tomorrow) Friday 4/29.  If you need an application, please see Mr. Cook or Mrs. Kettwick.

 

Competition Cheerleaders—tomorrow (Friday) is the end of the Beach Towel fundraiser. Please get any orders turned in ASAP.

 

The Athletic Booster Scholarship Applications are available in the guidance office.  The deadline is Wednesday, May 4th by noon.

 

Students—Please turn in your pre-registration sheets to the high school office today.  This needs to be signed by parent/guardian.  Do this today in order to opt-out Friday.

 

A sign-up sheet is available in the high school office for anyone interested in taking Lifeguard Training.  You MUST be 15 years old at the start of the class to participate.  The class will start at 9:00 on Saturday, May 28 with a pre-requisite swim and introduction of materials.  It will resume on Tuesday, May 31st and run through Saturday, June 4th.  Class times will run from 9:00-12:00.  The cost is $75.  Please sign up by Wednesday, May 4th so the correct number of books can be ordered.  Anyone interested in Lifeguard RE-CERTIFICATION is also encouraged to sign up in the office.  Contact Kim Ostermann if you have any questions.

 

In the IAHSGCA State Golf Rankings, Eric Krull is ranked 3rd in the state with a 38.49 scoring average and Haley Engelbarts is ranked 25th with a 51.89 average. Congratulations to both Eric and Haley for a job well done.   Keep up the good work.

 

Just a reminder if you have any fines or fees due – it must be paid before the end of the year check out.  I currently have cheerleading fines and an FFA item that needs taking care of.  Also, if registration fees were not paid at the beginning of the year, those will need to be paid also before I can sign your check out form.  Please stop by the business office if you are wondering if you owe anything so far. ~ Mrs. Davids

 

WANTED: Track Pictures! Help me fill the bulletin board with your favorite track photos! Email them to Dy or bring them in. Photos will be returned the last day of school 5/25.

 

There are still four vocal books that have not been turned in from the musical. Please turn in to the business office today!

 

The County Conservation Board is in need of volunteers to help distribute trees at the Winnebago County Fair Grounds on Wednesday, May 4th from 4-6 p.m. for the Releaf Program.   If you help, you will receive hours toward the silver cord  award and also you will receive a free T-Shirt.  Let Mr. Huntington know a.s.a.p. if you can be there.

 

Seniors—If you did not pick up your cap and gown, you may pay $10 to the business office and pick them up this week.

 

Silver Cord Hours need to be turned in no later than Monday, May 2nd.

 

Students that make a college visit to an Iowa Private College during Private College Week, August 1-5, 2011, can receive a free music download.   Go to www.thinkindependently.com for information.    See Mr. Huntington or Holly Arnevik for your music download card. 

 

Attention Seniors—If you still need to order graduation announcements, it’s not too late.  Herff Jones has a limited supply available on a first come, first served basis.  Please call 1-800-914-3733 for assistance. 

 

Scholarship opportunity—Two $100 scholarships will be awarded to graduating seniors who have been active in theater productions during their high school years.  You may pick up an application from Mrs. Hippen in the high school media center.  Applications are due May 2nd.

 

 “$500 Scholarship for NIACC by attending the free four day Youth Entrepreneurial Academy (YEA).  It is from Sunday, June 19 – Thursday, June 23rd.  You stay at the dorms during the week and all expenses are paid. Complete applications as soon as possible which are available in my office
