Lunch today is:  Chicken fajita, mixed vegetables, mixed fruit.

 

Congratulations to the North Iowa Bison Boys and Girls Golf Teams for there win against WCLT, CWL.  Boys winning by one stroke with a 193 to 194 and CWL with a score of 218.  Eric Krull was medalist with a score of 36. The Girls Medalist was Haley Engelbarts with a 56 and Runner-up was Dana Stelter with a 62 and an eagle on hole number 3.

 

Geometry students may go to the beginning of the lunch line today to eat right away and then head to Mr. De Boer's room to start the test.  Please tell your lunch supervisor before you leave that you are heading to the Geometry test.  You can head to Mr. De Boer's room as soon as you finish lunch or after 12:20 if you are not eating lunch.  Any questions see Mr. De Boer this morning.

 

The following FFA members need to meet with Mr. Meyer today at the start of 9th hour for a short meeting. All orders for the FFA windbreakers are due today.

 

There will be a yearbook meeting 9th hour tomorrow in the elementary media center. 

 

FCCLA will meet next Monday, April 11 at 7 p.m.

 

If there are any FCCLA members who would like to earn some silver cord hours by providing Child Care during Kindergarten Round up, please tell Mrs. Larsen.  The roundup is being held on Wednesday, April 13th at 6:30 pm.

 

There will be golf practice after school today.  For anyone needing a ride, meet on the west side of school.

 

The Herff Jones rep will be here today to give out graduation orders over the noon hour.  He will be located in the front hall lobby by the office.  Make sure you have your money owed them with you on Wednesday.  You will NOT receive your order today if it is not paid for.  Thanks!!

 

Chamber Choir will rehearse tomorrow, April 7, at 7:30 a.m.

 

There will be a senior class meeting tomorrow (Thursday) at 12:30 in the auditorium.

 

The Josten’s rep will be here on Friday, April 8th at 8:00 a.m. to distribute freshmen class rings that have been ordered.  Please let your parents know that your money is due Friday if you want to get your ring. 

 

Zero hour and 8th period weight lifting classes will meet on Friday, instead of Thursday this week.

 

ATTENTION TRACK PARTICIPANTS: because not many Subway's accept checks as payment any more please be sure to pay in cash. Prices with tax included are listed in both locker rooms and in the media center. Sorry for any inconvenience.

 

Reminder--Boys track: Subway orders for the Lake Mills meet (Thursday 4/14) are due by THURSDAY 4/14 at NOON next.

 

Reminder--BOTH GIRLS AND BOYS TRACK subway orders for APRIL 15th.  The orders need to in by FRIDAY (4/15) at NOON! )

 

Attention Seniors: The Publications Class is wrapping up our final publication of the Senior Spotlights. If you have not been contacted by a student or Mrs. Recker to complete your Senior Spotlight, please email Mrs. Recker ASAP so that we do not miss creating one for you? Reminder:  Please bring in your Senior Photos for the yearbook as soon as you can, or you can also email them to arnevik@northiowa.org.  You can submit two different poses.

Attention High School students—During lunch hour you are not to wander between the commons, lobby and the media center. You are to stay in one of these places.

Scholarship opportunity—Two $100 scholarships will be awarded to graduating seniors who have been active in theater productions during their high school years.  You may pick up an application from Mrs. Hippen in the high school media center.  Applications are due May 2nd.

There will an organizational meeting for the April 28th blood drive tomorrow, Tuesday, April 5th at 3:01 pm in Mrs. Aukes office.

 

It is now April—Reminding senior girls that the Literary Circle Tea will be held on Wednesday afternoon, April 27th at the Methodist Church in Buffalo Center. All senior girls and their mothers, grandmothers or close relative are cordially invited to attend.  The sign up deadline is next week Tuesday, April 12.  Sign up on the sheet in the office, to let the ladies know how many to plan for.  Thanks!

 

The North Iowa After Prom committee would like to invite all Juniors, Seniors and their dates the After Prom Party. There is NO COST to attend and you do not need to go to prom in order to go to the After Prom. Please sign up for After Prom in the office. The rules regarding dates are the same for After Prom as they are for Prom. YOU MUST ALSO INCLUDE A VALID PHONE NUMBER FOR YOUR PARENTS WHEN YOU SIGN UP FOR AFTER PROM. The numbers will be verified!

 

Seniors - A reminder to pay attention to scholarship deadlines and details.  Applications for 7 scholarships have been emails to everyone.  Most have April 8th deadlines but the Merlyn Elman Memorial Scholarship which is April 15.

 

“$500 Scholarship for NIACC by attending the free four day Youth Entrepreneurial Academy (YEA).  It is from Sunday, June 19 – Thursday, June 23rd.  You stay at the dorms during the week and all expenses are paid. Complete applications as soon as possible which are available in my office
