Congratulations to JT Roe for
being elected Vice President of Public Relations at the state FCCLA
convention. He also received a Gold award for his illustrated talk.
The Herff Jones rep will be
here Wednesday, April 6th to give out graduation orders over the
noon hour. He will be located in the front hall lobby by the
office. Make sure you have your money owed them with you on Wednesday.
You will NOT receive your order if it is not paid for that day. Thanks!!
Reminder:
Please bring in your Senior Photos for the yearbook as soon as you can, or you
can also email them to arnevik@northiowa.org. You can submit two different
poses.
Attention High School students—During
lunch hour you are not to wander between the commons, lobby and the media
center. You are to stay in one of these places.
Boys and Girls golf practice
today. Anyone needing a ride meet on the
west side of school.
The track meet for
today at Osage has been postponed to tomorrow. Thank you.
Subway
orders and payment need to be in to Dy Quisling
before noon tomorrow for track people going to the meet at Osage.
Chamber Choir will rehearse tomorrow, Tuesday, April 5 at 7:30 a.m.
and Friday, April 8 at 7:30 a.m.
Scholarship opportunity—Two
$100 scholarships will be awarded to graduating seniors who have been active in
theater productions during their high school years. You may pick up an
application from Mrs. Hippen in the high school media center.
Applications are due May 2nd.
There will an organizational
meeting for the April 28th blood drive tomorrow, Tuesday, April 5th
at 3:01 pm in Mrs. Aukes office.
It is now April—Reminding
senior girls that the Literary Circle Tea will be held on Wednesday afternoon,
April 27th at the Methodist Church in Buffalo Center. All senior
girls and their mothers, grandmothers or close relative are cordially invited
to attend. The sign up deadline is
next week Tuesday, April 12. Sign up
on the sheet in the office, to let the ladies know how many to plan for. Thanks!
If any FFA member would like
to order a windbreaker please see Mr. Meyer to get an order blank. Orders
will be due this Wednesday, April 6th.
The
North Iowa After Prom committee would like to invite all Juniors, Seniors and
their dates the After Prom Party. There is NO COST to attend and you do not
need to go to prom in order to go to the After Prom. Please sign up for After
Prom in the office. The rules regarding dates are the same for After Prom as
they are for Prom. YOU MUST ALSO INCLUDE A VALID PHONE NUMBER FOR YOUR PARENTS
WHEN YOU SIGN UP FOR AFTER PROM. The numbers will be verified!
Seniors - A reminder to
pay attention to scholarship deadlines and details. Applications for 7
scholarships have been emails to everyone. Most have April 8th
deadlines but the Merlyn Elman Memorial Scholarship which is April 15.
Shakespeare
projects are on display in the high school on the 2nd floor
hallway. Come see what nice work the
English 9 students have done!!!

by attending the free four day Youth Entrepreneurial Academy
(YEA). It is from Sunday, June 19 – Thursday, June 23rd.
You stay at the dorms during the week and all expenses are paid. Complete
