Lunch

Reminder:
Please bring in your Senior Photos for the yearbook as soon as you can, or you
can also email them to arnevik@northiowa.org. You can submit two different
poses.
Student Council Members: There will be a working lunch today in Mrs. Recker’s room. Please excuse yourselves from 5th
hour at 12:05 to get lunch and meet at 12:10 for our meeting. Everyone must
attend!
The
North Iowa Dodgeball Tournament is April 2nd! Turn
your registrations and $65 in today! Registrations price goes to $75 after today!
8th-11th graders that are
interested in Fall, Winter, or competition cheerleading for next year will have
a meeting 9th hour WEDNESDAY in the ICN room. This
is an OPT OUT day. Those that can opt out should still attend this brief
meeting.
Boys golf practice at Gruis after school.
Anyone needing a ride meet on the west side of the school. There will be
no girls golf practice.
Class Meetings: There will be class meetings tomorrow during the 9th
period. Locations for these meetings will be put in tomorrow’s announcements.
Seniors - A reminder to
pay attention to scholarship deadlines and details. Applications for 7
scholarships have been emails to everyone. Most have April 8th
deadlines, with the exception of the Seneca Foods Scholarship which is March 30th
and the Merlyn Elman Memorial Scholarship which is April 15.
Juniors – Help is needed to
run the dodge ball tournament on April 2. There will be 3 shifts of workers
needed on that day and we will need at least 4-5 workers each shift. The
sign up sheet will be passed around on Thursday during American History Class
and available in the media center after that.
If
you are reading the book "4 Days to Glory" by Mark Kreidler, please stop in the high school media center ASAP.

Shakespeare
projects are on display in the high school on the 2nd floor
hallway. Come see what nice work the
English 9 students have done!!!
There is a Hunter Education
Class being offered on Saturdays, March 26th and April 9th.
Students must attend both sessions. The hunter safety class will be held
in the multi-purpose room on Saturday beginning at 9:00 a.m. and running until
3 p.m. Enter by the east door by Mr. Myer’s office.
Lunch will be provided by the Winnebago-Hancock County Pheasants Forever
Chapter. Please bring a pencil or pen to the class.
If you have not registered
and want to take this course, you must register online on the Iowa DNR website
for the class. Students must be 11 years old to attend. See Mr.
Huntington if you would like to participate. There is no cost for the
class. Space is limited to the first 24 students registered.
“$500 Scholarship for NIACC
by attending the free four day Youth Entrepreneurial Academy
(YEA). It is from Sunday, June 19 – Thursday, June 23rd.
You stay at the dorms during the week and all expenses are paid. Complete
applications as soon as possible which are available in my office
Senior girls Literary Circle
Tea will be held on Wednesday afternoon, April 27th at the Methodist
Church in Buffalo Center. All senior
girls and their mothers, grandmothers or close relative are cordially invited
to attend. Please sign up sheet in the
office, to let the ladies know how many to plan for. Thanks!
