the 11 entries were rated I. A special
thanks to Mr. Wubben for driving the bus and to the parents
and students who rode along to show support-- you are appreciated.

Kahler for being selected as one of the performers for Iowa FFA Talent at the
State FFA Leadership Conference in April.

to Caleb Ricke for being nominated to perform at the
All State Speech event in the Prose Category.

Seniors are asked to
return a signed immunization consent form and $5.00 payment to Mrs. Aukes by
Friday, March 18th. Paperwork for the meningitis vaccination
were given to you or mailed home to your parents. Forms were also emailed
to your parents home email address.
The Lake Mills
Task Force Against Substance Abuse” will be holding “Social Networking: The Good, the Bad, the Ugly” presentation this evening at the Lake Mills Community School
foyer at 6:30 p.m. Brian Blodgett of NGT
will be presenting.
Reminder: Please bring
in your Senior Photos for the yearbook as soon as you can, or you can also
email them to arnevik@northiowa.org. You can submit two different poses.
All
freshmen will be going to the Prime for Life presentation this week today from
12:45 to 3:30; Wednesday from 8:25 to 12:10.
Students report to the multipurpose room for this presentation.
Bailey Hughes report to the
high school office after 1st hour today.
Applications for State FFA
Convention and Chapter FFA Officers are due to Mr. Meyer by 3:45pm Wed March 16th.

FCCLA
will meet on Wednesday, March 16th, during 9th hour in the FCS room.
FFA members who participated
in sub-district contests please have your FFA jackets ready for a picture today
during 9th hour in Mr. Meyer’s room.
If you plan to participate in
high school football next year, please stop by Coach Anderson’s room and fill
out an informational sheet by Wednesday.
Shakespeare
projects are on display in the high school on the 2nd floor
hallway. Come see what nice work the
English 9 students have done!!!
There is a Hunter Education
Class being offered on Saturdays, March 26th and April 9th.
Students must attend both sessions. The class will be held at North Iowa
High School (Note Site Change) on those
days. Students must register online on the Iowa DNR website for the
class. Students must be 11 years old to attend. See Mr. Huntington if you
would like to participate. There is no cost for the class. Space is
limited to the first 24 students registered.
“$500 Scholarship for NIACC
by attending the free four day Youth Entrepreneurial Academy
(YEA). It is from Sunday, June 19 – Thursday, June 23rd.
You stay at the dorms during the week and all expenses are paid. Complete
applications as soon as possible which are available in my office
Lost &
Found – If you have recently lost a
bracelet or set of keys near the gym/lobby area, please stop by the MS/HS
office.
Senior girls Literary Circle
Tea will be held on Wednesday afternoon, April 27th at the Methodist
Church in Buffalo Center. All senior
girls and their mothers, grandmothers or close relative are cordially invited
to attend. Please sign up sheet in the
office, to let the ladies know how many to plan for. Thanks!
Reminder: There
are still some students who have not turned in the student 9th
period opt out form. This form needs to
be completed, signed by your parent, turned into the HS office if you wish to
opt out of 9th hr. on Wednesdays and Fridays. You can receive
this form from your 9th period teacher/advisor or the HS office.
Also a reminder in regards to
9th period on Wednesdays and Fridays: Any student with poor attendance,
multiple tardies, unfulfilled detentions, and serious
disciplinary violations will not be able to opt out of 9th period
study hall those days. If you have any
questions, please talk to your teachers.
