According to Iowa state law and North Iowa Community Schools policy, a student must be passing all of their scheduled classes at each grading period.  Every midterm, quarter, and/or semester grade is considered a grading period.  Grades are reviewed each 4 ˝ weeks (or whenever the next grading period is) to determine eligibility.  If you have an “F” in any class during any grading period (including our current Midterm grading period), you will be considered ineligible.  A student can be considered ineligible for any “Incomplete” grade, or until the “I” status is changed to a passing grade.  Please check the HS handbook if you have any questions about the eligibility policy, or talk to Mr. Embrock.  You may receive an email from Mr. Embrock concerning your eligibility status.

Extra Help sessions are provided in the Study Center room on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30-4:00 pm for students wanting/needing some extra help with homework.  Most high school teachers are available before or after school to work with you as well.  If you need extra help with homework or need some guidance on assignments, the Extra Help sessions could be very helpful for you.  If transportation is a factor and keeps you from staying after school to get help, you are welcome to ride the shuttle bus.  Make sure you are doing everything you can to get homework and assignments completed and taking care of your academics.
