Seniors—Please send electronically to the BC Tribune a black/white and colored photo for the yearbook.  These need to be sent in by March 5th to Andrew Shaw, yearbook advisor at sports@wctatel,net.  If you cannot sent electronically, please give to Vicki in the office.

 

There will be one session of driver’s education at North Iowa High School this year.  This session starts on March 13th.  Students need to be signed up by March 5th.  To officially sign up students need to pay a deposit of half of the registration fee by March 5th.  The total cost is $220 per in-district student and $240 per out-of-district student.

 

There will be a meeting for all girls participating in track and field today at 11:25 in MRS. COY’S ROOM (note the location change!).  Please be prompt and bring something to write with.  Thank you!

Freshmen Band Members, please be here at 7:50 AM on Wednesday to help set the stage.

 

There is a meeting today for all those interested in stage/tech crew for the musical at 11:30 in the auditorium.

 

Reminder that chorus for the musical needs to start coming to practice Monday, March 1, at 5:30 pm.

 

Jazz Band will rehearse during seminar today and Thursday.

 

TV News - Andrew Shaw will come during seminar on Thursday to get your picture for the paper.  Please plan on meeting outside the auditorium.

 

Speech – Make sure you are practicing for contest this weekend.  Mrs. Schutjer will be in BC after school everyday but Thursday.  If you want to practice in the morning, email Cheri.  Check your email for Saturday's schedule.  We will leave at 7:30 from Buffalo Center and we will stop in Thompson at Hometown Market.

 

Any girls interested in the Waldorf Cheerleading Clinic THIS SUNDAY from 1:30 to 5:30 need to let Dy know by Wednesday noon. Cost is $25/person and is open to ANYONE interested, not just those who were on a squad this year. They will be going over motions, technique, stunting and progression, chants, cheers and will teach a dance.

 

All Seniors need to pay $25 to the HS office to help pay for graduation caps, gown, and stoles.  Please pay today!

 

The Pennies for Patients Campaign has begun and all seminars are encouraged to participate in the fundraising.  Each seminar has a collection box for the program.  We will be collecting until the end of February.  This year’s goal is to raise $4000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Iowa.  The proceeds go to research and helping families affected by childhood cancers. 

Diamonds in Algona has offered to donate money to support our After Prom.  For every tux that our students rent from them, they will donate money towards North Iowa’s After Prom.  All you need to do is let them know where you are from!   

 

A Prom Book for this year's dresses will be available in the FCS room.  Bring in a picture of your dress to put in as soon as you have purchased it.

 

Students are invited to participate in the 2010 Junior Duck Stamp Contest.  There are four groups according to grade level:  K-3, 4-6, 7-9. 10-12.  Awards are as follows:  Three first place, three second place, and three third place entries, along with 16 honorable mentions will be chosen from each group.
