Freshmen
Band Members, please be here at 7:50 AM on Wednesday to help set the stage.
There
is a meeting today for all those interested in stage/tech crew for the musical
at 11:30 in the auditorium.
Reminder that chorus for the musical needs to start
coming to practice Monday, March 1, at 5:30 pm.
Jazz
Band will rehearse during seminar today and Thursday.
TV
News - Andrew Shaw will come during seminar on Thursday to get your picture for
the paper. Please plan on meeting
outside the auditorium.
Speech
– Make sure you are practicing for contest this weekend. Mrs. Schutjer will
be in BC after school everyday but Thursday.

Any
girls interested in the Waldorf Cheerleading Clinic THIS SUNDAY from 1:30 to
5:30 need to let Dy know by Wednesday noon. Cost is
$25/person and is open to ANYONE interested, not just those who were on a squad
this year. They will be going over motions, technique, stunting and
progression, chants, cheers and will teach a dance.
All
Seniors need to pay $25 to the HS office to help pay
for graduation caps, gown, and stoles. Please pay today!
The Pennies for Patients Campaign has begun and all seminars are
encouraged to participate in the fundraising. Each seminar has a
collection box for the program. We will be collecting until the end of
February. This year’s goal is to raise $4000 for the Leukemia and
Lymphoma Society of Iowa. The proceeds go to research and helping
families affected by childhood cancers.
Diamonds in Algona has offered to donate money to support our After
Prom. For every tux that our students
rent from them, they will donate money towards
A
Prom Book for this year's dresses will be available in the FCS room. Bring in a picture of your dress to put in as
soon as you have purchased it.
Students
are invited to participate in the 2010 Junior Duck Stamp Contest. There
are four groups according to grade level: K-3, 4-6, 7-9. 10-12. Awards are as follows: Three first place,
three second place, and three third place entries, along with 16 honorable
mentions will be chosen from each group. Artwork may be submitted from the list
of species found on the website at http://www.fws.gov/juniorduck.
