Seniors—Please send electronically to the BC Tribune a black/white and
colored photo for the yearbook. These
need to be sent in by March 5th to Andrew Shaw, yearbook advisor at sports@wctatel,net.
If you cannot send electronically, please give to Vicki in the office.
There
will be a prom committee meeting today at 11:25 in the ICN room during
seminar. At 11:45 there will be a National Honor Society meeting in MRS. COY’s ROOM – please be prompt. Thank you.
There
will be an end of the year girls basketball meeting on
Monday, today at 12:15 AM in the auditorium. Please be prompt and bring your
practice jerseys with you. Girls
basketball players must eat first today, then report to the meeting a.s.a.p.
There
will be an FFA officer and FFA week committee meeting at 12:20 today in the ag room. Please be prompt, there is a lot of information
to cover before we need to report to 3rd hour class.
There
will be a meeting for all those interested in being on stage/tech crew for the
musical tomorrow at 11:30 in the auditorium.
Just
a reminder to those involved in the chorus for the musical, that practice will
start next Monday. Schedules will be
available in chorus later this week.
Speech
–Mrs. Schutjer will be in BC after school everyday
but Thursday. If you want to practice in
the morning, email Cheri. Mrs. Schutjer will email speech students when the schedule is
posted.
There
will be an organizational meeting this Tuesday at 11:25 in the auditorium for any girl interested in participating in track and
field. Please be prompt and bring something to write with.
The Pennies for Patients Campaign has begun and all seminars are
encouraged to participate in the fundraising. Each seminar has a
collection box for the program. We will be collecting until the end of
February. This year’s goal is to raise $4000 for the Leukemia and
Lymphoma Society of Iowa. The proceeds go to research and helping
families affected by childhood cancers.
All
Seniors need to pay $25 to the HS office to help pay
for graduation caps, gown, and stoles. Please pay today!
Diamonds in Algona has offered to donate money to support our After
Prom. For every tux that our students
rent from them, they will donate money towards

those interested in being on tech/stage crew for the musical, there will be a
meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, Febuary 23, at 11:30 in
the auditorium.
A
Prom Book for this year's dresses will be available in the FCS room. Bring in a picture of your dress to put in as
soon as you have purchased it.
Students
are invited to participate in the 2010 Junior Duck Stamp Contest. There
are four groups according to grade level: K-3, 4-6, 7-9. 10-12. Awards are as follows: Three first place,
three second place, and three third place entries, along with 16 honorable
mentions will be chosen from each group. Artwork may be submitted from the list
of species found on the website at http://www.fws.gov/juniorduck.
