FRESHMEN:  The Josten’s ring salesman will be here today to take class ring orders over noon hour.  Make sure you have your order and deposit ready to give to him at that time.

 

Anyone participating in the Dodgeball Tournament need to have the Liability Waiver turned in to the office or turned into Melody Schlake by this Friday, February 22nd.  This is the deadline to enter the tournament.

 

There will be a meeting of the national honor society on Friday at 11:40 in Mr. Potter’s room.  Please be prompt. 

 

Varsity boys’ basketball players will have a brief meeting in the locker room immediately after school today.  Bring your uniforms, warm ups, practice jerseys, etc.  Please be prompt so we can be done before 3:45.

 

FFA Conduct of meetings practice first seminar today.

 

FFA Speaking contestants when dismissed at 3:15 get into official dress and go to Mr. Gerzema's room.

 

FFA officers meeting will be held Friday during second seminar.

 

Please note that the NIACC Automotive Careers Night and the Ag & Industrial Open House has been rescheduled to Wednesday, March 5 from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. Would you please put this on your school announcements to make sure all students are aware of the rescheduled date. 

 

College rep today is Northwestern College at Orange City at 11:30.

 

High school students will have pre-registration of 08-09 classes at the following times:  Freshmen on Tuesday, February 26th during seminar; Sophomores on Wednesday, February 27th during seminar; and juniors on Thursday, February 28th during seminar.  This is preliminary registration only.

 

There will be a student council meeting on Thursday, at 11:45 in the multipurpose room.  This meeting will run into second seminar, so let your seminar teacher know if you must eat first lunch.  If you have any issues to discuss, talk with any student council member who will be attending the meeting.  Thanks.

 

Extra Help sessions are provided in the Study Center room on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30-4:00 pm for students wanting/needing some extra help with homework.  Most high school teachers are available before or after school to work with you as well.  If you need extra help with homework or need some guidance on assignments, the Extra Help sessions could be very helpful for you.  If transportation is a factor and keeps you from staying after school to get help, you are welcome to ride the shuttle bus.  Make sure you are doing everything you can to get homework and assignments completed and taking care of your academics.
