Jazz Band will rehearse during seminar on Friday.

 

The midterm for 3rd quarter classes is today.  Grades will be posted on report cards Tuesday morning.

 

The Pennies for Patients Campaign has begun and all seminars are encouraged to participate in the fundraising.  Each seminar has a collection box for the program.  We will be collecting until the end of the month.  This year’s goal is to raise $4000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Iowa.  The proceeds go to research and helping families affected by childhood cancers. 

 

Betsy Goetz will be picking up Daffodil Days orders today.  Please turn in your orders to the high school office today before noon.  Thanks for being a volunteer and making an impact on the lives of so many people!!

Diamonds in Algona has offered to donate money to support our After Prom.  For every tux that our students rent from them, they will donate money towards North Iowa’s After Prom.  All you need to do is let them know where you are from!   

 

FFA members--Next week is National FFA Week.  On Monday, February 22 at 8:20 am, we will be taking a picture for the paper in official dress.  Please bring your official dress to school on Monday for the picture.

 

All those interested in being on tech/stage crew for the musical, there will be a meeting Tuesday, Febuary 23, at 11:30 in the auditorium.

 

The bowling team will leave from Buffalo Lanes at 8:00 AM Saturday, February 20th.  Buffalo Lanes will not be open so have all equipment needed Friday night.

Wear Bowling shirts and Black pants. No JEANS.  All fans are welcome.

The teams consist of:  Gabe Thomsen, Taylor Thomsen, Cody Adams, Ryan Almelien, Alec Ostrander, Corey Knutson, LM, Dana Stelter, Jessica Wubben,

Kelsey Griffin, Katie Hassebroek, Becca Siemens, Amanda Willmert.

 

North Iowa girls basketball will play this evening at Newman Catholic @ at 7 p.m.  A pep bus will once again be offered for middle and high school students to go to Friday's game in Mason City.  The cost to ride will be $5 and at least 20 students must sign up and pay by Friday noon for a bus to go.

FFA meeting next Friday night Feb 26th, at 7:00 pm, more details to come.

 

A Prom Book for this year's dresses will be available in the FCS room.  Bring in a picture of your dress to put in as soon as you have purchased it.

 

Students are invited to participate in the 2010 Junior Duck Stamp Contest.  There are four groups according to grade level:  K-3, 4-6, 7-9. 10-12.  Awards are as follows:  Three first place, three second place, and three third place entries, along with 16 honorable mentions will be chosen from each group.
