Betsy Goetz will be coming to school Friday
afternoon (tomorrow) to pick up Daffodil Days orders. If you need to
still make phone calls please make these calls today and tonight. Thanks
for being a volunteer and making an impact on the lives of so many people!!
Tonight
there will be Varsity Boys' District BB NI vs. Northwood at
The
regional tournament for High School bowling will be at Waverly on Saturday,
February 20. Starting time is 11:00 AM. All fans are welcome.
FFA
members next week is National FFA Week, on Monday at 8:20 am we will be taking
a picture for the paper in official dress. Please bring your official
dress to school on Monday for the picture.
FFA
meeting next Friday night Feb 26th, at 7:00 pm, more details to
come.
Jazz
Band will rehearse during seminar on Friday.
The
midterm for 3rd quarter classes will be this Friday, February 19th.
The Pennies for Patients Campaign has begun and all seminars are
encouraged to participate in the fundraising. Each seminar has a
collection box for the program. We will be collecting until the end of
the month. This year’s goal is to raise $4000 for the Leukemia and
Lymphoma Society of Iowa. The proceeds go to research and helping
families affected by childhood cancers.
All
Seniors need to pay $25 to the HS office to help pay for
graduation caps, gown, and stoles.
Due to snow days the deadline for payment will be February 19.
A
Prom Book for this year's dresses will be available in the FCS room. Bring in a picture of your dress to put in as
soon as you have purchased it.
Students
are invited to participate in the 2010 Junior Duck Stamp Contest. There
are four groups according to grade level: K-3, 4-6, 7-9. 10-12. Awards are as follows: Three first place,
three second place, and three third place entries, along with 16 honorable
mentions will be chosen from each group. Artwork may be submitted from the list
of species found on the website at http://www.fws.gov/juniorduck.
