Lunch today is chicken fajita.  The menus for this week will be what is scheduled for that day.  Breakfast will be the same as well.

 

Speech students please check your email for a message from Mrs. Schutjer concerning speech.

 

There will be a prom committee meeting today during seminar in the ICN room.  Check in first with your seminar teacher and then come to the meeting.

 

The Pennies for Patients Campaign has begun and all seminars are encouraged to participate in the fundraising.  Each seminar has a collection box for the program.  We will be collecting until the end of the month.  This year’s goal is to raise $4000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Iowa.  The proceeds go to research and helping families affected by childhood cancers. 

 

End of 3rd quarter mid-term classes will be this Friday, February 19th.

 

Students wishing to ride the Pep Bus to Ventura tonight need to sign up AND PAY in Vicki's office by noon today. Bus will leave at 5:30 from the BC building and 5:40 from the Thompson school. 20 people MUST be signed up in order for the bus to go. If not enough people are signed up by noon your money will be refunded.

 

SHOW YOUR SPIRIT! The NORTH IOWA LADY BISON will take on WCLT in district action tonight in Ventura at 7 pm. Show how WILD AND CRAZY you are for your LADY BISON and come with your wildest school appropriate attire. Cheerleaders will be watching for the best dressed and award prizes tomorrow during seminar.

 

The NIACC rep will be here on Wednesday, February 17. 

The Marine recruiter will be here on Wednesday, February 17 over the noon hour.

 

If you are interested in being on tech/stage crew for the musical, "Grease" sign up on the list in the media center.

 

All Seniors need to pay $25 to the HS office to help pay for graduation caps, gown, and stoles.   Due to snow days the deadline for payment will be February 19.

 

A Prom Book for this year's dresses will be available in the FCS room.  Bring in a picture of your dress to put in as soon as you have purchased it.

 

Students are invited to participate in the 2010 Junior Duck Stamp Contest.  There are four groups according to grade level:  K-3, 4-6, 7-9. 10-12.  Awards are as follows:  Three first place, three second place, and three third place entries, along with 16 honorable mentions will be chosen from each group. Artwork may be submitted from the list of species found on the website at http://www.fws.gov/juniorduck.   If you have other questions, please contact Doreen Van Ryswyk, Iowa Junior Duck Stamp Coordinator at (515) 994-3400 or Doreen_Vanryswyk@fws.gov.
