“I Hate Winter” Day will be after lunch on Friday, February
13. If you have not signed up for an activity, you need to see Mr.
Embrock in the HS office ASAP. Activities include going to the YMCA in
Students going to the YMCA need to pay $5 by tomorrow morning, will eat first lunch, and will leave from the school at 11:45 am. Students in other activities will report to the HS gym at 11:22 and eat 2nd lunch.
IMPORTANT STUDY TABLE INFORMATION - Students who do have not turned in their Study Table Approval forms will not be participating in “I Hate Winter” Day and will report to Mr. Zenk’s room to work on homework.
Students are not permitted to wear hats, hoods, or bandanas during the regular school day. Failure to comply may result in detention.
Students must use their passport/planner to leave a classroom. It must be filled out and signed by your classroom teacher or supervisor. You must have your planner/passport with you when out of the classroom. Students must also sign out when leaving a classroom and sign in when returning. Each classroom will have a sign-out sheet. If your class takes a large group break, it is at the discretion of your teacher whether or not signing out and back in is necessary.
Students who signed up to help call individuals for daffodil days need to turn in orders to the high school office today. Any questions see Vicki in the office. Thanks!
Individual Speech practice will be Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in the multipurpose room. Please give me your title and authors. I have category guidelines for all categories. If you have a writing category (after dinner, review, expos, etc), start writing asap!
The FCCLA will continue to sell Valentine messages today during lunch if you didn't get them purchased last week. Any member who would like to sell them should see Mrs. Larsen at the beginning of the lst lunch.
There will be a tech crew meeting Thursday during 2nd seminar in the networking room. Freshman and sophomores interested in tech crew eat 1st lunch.
The Josten’s ring rep will be here today at 11:22 to visit with freshmen concerning class rings. The meeting will be held in the multipurpose room for all freshmen.
Nancy Hanevik, will be here Friday, February 13th, after school with a tuxedo display for prom. Interested students should attend this meeting at 3:30 (after school) that day. She will be here approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour to answer questions, etc. Parents are invited to attend if they wish.
Any students that wants/needs to ride the activity shuttle needs to
sign up in the HS office by noon each day. Please indicate which town you
need transportation for.
Note to seniors: There has been a change as to
the due date for senior pictures—February 13th. One senior
picture needs to be given to the high school office for the composite.

A winter fitness club that meets in the gym lobby starting at 3:45 each Tuesday and Thursday. It is open to anyone wanting to be active whether for athletics or just to be fit. Contact Mr. Potter if would like more information – otherwise we’ll see you there.
North Iowa High School Dodge Ball Tournament will be held Saturday, March 7, 2009 at the North Iowa Gym. $60 per team of 8 to 10 people. Must pay in advance and must be registered by Monday, February 16. Contact Joy Gelhaus at 515-886-2220 to register. Thanks for supporting After Prom.
