Today’s menu is walking taco.

 

Congratulations to Megan Julsrud Wertjes and Tony Wubben for earning straight Is at state speech and for being selected to perform at All-State Speech Festival in Ames.  Also, congratulations to TV News; they earned a I and two IIs at state speech.

 

FCCLA will continue selling pop during seminar today and Thursday.  A couple volunteers are needed to go down and pick up the materials  needed to sell from Sheryl Davids in the business office. Please return the envelope to Sheryl when you get done!   Thursday will be the last day to place an order.  The pop will be delivered on Friday during the 4th hour, so be sure to write the 4th hour class on the label. Thanks!

 

Students who will be bringing out of town dates to the Sweetheart Dance need to sign up in the office this week.  No junior high dates are allowed to high school dances.

 

Voting for FFA/FCCLA Sweetheart Royalty will take place tomorrow, February 11th.  More will be in the announcements tomorrow.

 

We will now have school on Monday, February 15 and Wednesday, March 10 to help make up some of our missed school days. 

 

The Josten’s ring salesman will reschedule his visit with the freshmen.  There will not be a meeting today, it will be held Monday, February 15th at 11:25. 

 

Speech - We will meet tomorrow after school to talk about All-State and individual speech.  Please let me know before then if you have changed your mind about individuals.

 

North Iowa bowlers should be at the lanes by 4:00.  Bowling practice with Forest City will start at 4:30.

 

The Lady Bison will start tournament play when they host CWL Thursday night, February 11th. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. Come out and show your support for the Lady Bison!

 

If you are interested in being on tech/stage crew for the musical, "Grease" sign up on the list in the media center.

 

You may still purchase State Final Wrestling tickets for Saturday, February 20th. Tickets are available for a cost of $8.  Contact Mr. Huntington if you would still like tickets.  Make checks payable to Lake Mills High School.

 

All Seniors need to pay $25 to the HS office to help pay for graduation caps, gown, and stoles.  Please make payment by February 13.

 

A Prom Book for this year's dresses will be available in the FCS room.  Bring in a picture of your dress to put in as soon as you have purchased it.

 

Students are invited to participate in the 2010 Junior Duck Stamp Contest.  There are four groups according to grade level:  K-3, 4-6, 7-9. 10-12.  Awards are as follows:  Three first place, three second place, and three third place entries, along with 16 honorable mentions will be chosen from each group.
