Student Council meeting today during 1st lunch.
Students calling for the Daffodil sales at Rake, need to let those people know picking up orders in Rake that the location and time is changed to the Rake Library. Orders can be picked up from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, February 13th. Students helping (those who have telephone directories for calling people) for the Daffodil Days service project need to have orders finalized and turned in to the high school office by Tuesday, February 11th. Thanks for all your help and time with this project.
***Students riding the sport shuttle will leave Thompson at 5:00
today (Friday) instead of 5:15, therefore it will be leaving
Girls basketball players need to have their pink shirts with them tonight for pregame.
FFA Concession workers Friday night are: Blake Huntington, Taylor Thomsen, Gabe Thomsen, and Garrett Asmus. Be at the stand by 5:55 so we can be open at 6:00.
All seniors and parents will be honored on Parents Night tonight. The girls presentation will be at 6:20. Boys before the boys game. Seniors will get there rose by the players bench and meet their parents who will come down from the north stands. You will line up on the green volleyball sidelines.
If you are interested in being on tech crew for the musical, sign up by the media center or the networking room. There will be a meeting for those interested in tech crew on Tuesday, February 10th right after school in the auditorium.
Great job to everybody that tried out for the musical. It was hard to decide. I think we have a great cast and crew and will have a lot of fun. There will be a read through for the speaking parts on Monday, February 9 at 7:30 in the auditorium. Books and schedules will be handed out at this time. Chorus members watch the announcements in the coming weeks to see when we are starting full practice.
The prom committee will meet on Monday, February 9th in the ICN room at the beginning of second seminar.

The Sweetheart Dance is this Friday night after the Garner game from 9:30 - 11:30. You must also sign up any out of town dates, no junior high students are allowed.
State Large Group Speech Participants – we will leave at 4:15 a.m. from BC on Saturday the 7th. We will also stop in Thompson. Please be on time and ready to go! We have very early performance times! Check your email for a performance schedule.
Any student who needs to catch up on homework will go to Mr. Zenk’s room to get work done. Only students who have turned in their Study Table approval forms will be allowed to participate.
Any students that wants/needs to ride the
activity shuttle needs to sign up in the HS office by noon each day.
Please indicate which town you need transportation for.

Those students taking the ACT test should enter by the east door by Mr. Hill’s office on Saturday morning. Please be here by 7:45 a.m. at the latest. You need your admission sheet, #2 pencils, and an approved calculator. I would suggest you dress in layers.
The FCCLA will be selling Valentine messages this week only, Monday thru Friday during lunch. For $1, you may purchase a Sticker and write a special message to your Valentine. It will be attached to a can of FANTA pop and delivered during the last hour of Feb. 13th. (B day) Flavors available will be orange, strawberry, or grape.
You need to know what class your Valentine has 8th hour.
FCCLA members- We need volunteers to sell Valentine messages during lunch this week. No one has signed up for Monday through Thursday. If you are willing to sell during the first lunch, please come to the FCS room and pick up the envelope with the messages and change.
Note to seniors: There has been a change as to
the due date for senior pictures—February 13th. One senior
picture needs to be given to the high school office for the composite.

A winter fitness club that meets in the gym lobby starting at 3:45 each Tuesday and Thursday. It is open to anyone wanting to be active whether for athletics or just to be fit. Contact Mr. Potter if would like more information – otherwise we’ll see you there.
North Iowa High School Dodge Ball Tournament will be held Saturday, March 7, 2009 at the North Iowa Gym. $60 per team of 8 to 10 people. Must pay in advance and must be registered by Monday, February 16. Contact Joy Gelhaus at 515-886-2220 to register. Thanks for supporting After Prom.
