FFA and FCCLA members will need to vote today during seminars for the King and Sweetheart candidates. Report to your seminars first and then come to the ag room or the FCS room to vote during either seminar today.

 

FFA Concession workers Friday night are: Blake Huntington, Taylor Thomsen, Gabe Thomsen, and Garrett Asmus. Be at the stand by 5:55 so we can be open at 6:00.

 

The Sweetheart Dance is this Friday night after the Garner game from 9:30 - 11:30. If you songs you would like used during the dance sign them up in the office by Wednesday. Also sign up any out of town dates.

 

FFA and FCCLA members today during seminar report to the Ag. or the FCS rooms to vote on the Sweetheart and King candidates.

 

Student Council will have a meeting today during 1st lunch in the FCS room (Mrs. Larsen’s room).

Those students taking the ACT test should enter by the east door by Mr. Hill’s office on Saturday morning.  Please be here by 7:45 a.m. at the latest.  You need your admission sheet, #2 pencils, and an approved calculator.  I would suggest you dress in layers.

 

The FCCLA will be selling Valentine messages this week only, Monday thru Friday during lunch.  For $1, you may purchase a Sticker and write a special message to your Valentine.  It will be attached to a can of FANTA pop and delivered during the last hour of Feb. 13th. (B day) Flavors available will be orange, strawberry, or grape.

You need to know what class your Valentine has 8th hour.

 

FCCLA members- We need volunteers to sell Valentine messages during lunch this week.  No one has signed up for Monday through Thursday.  If you are willing to sell during the first lunch, please come to the FCS room and pick up the envelope with the messages and change.

 

Note to seniors:  There has been a change as to the due date for senior pictures—February 13th.  One senior picture needs to be given to the high school office for the composite.  One sent electronically to the BC Tribune at bctrib@wctatel.net

and one sent electronically to Mr. Silber at tsilber@mchsi.com

 

A winter fitness club that meets in the gym lobby starting at 3:45 each Tuesday and Thursday.  It is open to anyone wanting to be active whether for athletics or just to be fit.  Contact Mr. Potter if would like more information – otherwise we’ll see you there.

 

Anyone interested in individual speech – tryouts will be held February 4th.  Please be looking for a piece.  If you have questions or need help, please email me.  (Mrs. Schutjer)

 

North Iowa High School Dodge Ball Tournament will be held Saturday, March 7, 2009 at the North Iowa Gym. $60 per team of 8 to 10 people. Must pay in advance and must be registered by Monday, February 16.  Contact Joy Gelhaus at 515-886-2220 to register.  Thanks for supporting After Prom.

Only seniors who have turned in their permission slips are free to have open lunch.

 

Congratulations to the following students for being selected as Student of the Month for February:  Senior – Alex Long, Junior – Ben Blocker, Sophomore – Mike Limon, Freshman – Garrett Asmus.  Please come to the HS Office at 12:00 pm for a picture.

 

Please turn in your Study Table approval forms ASAP.

 

Study Tables run from 3:30-4:30 pm on Monday-Thursday in the HS Media Center.  Teachers will inform you if you are referred to Study Table and which day you need to attend.  We will try to give you at least one day notice so you can make arrangements for transportation.

 

All juniors will meet at 11:45 tomorrow (Wednesday) in the high school auditorium to discuss ASVAB results and the taking of Thursday’s ITEDs.

 

State Large Group Speech Participants – we will leave at 4:15 a.m. from BC on Saturday the 7th.  We will also stop in Thompson.  Please be on time and ready to go!  We have very early performance times!  Check your email for a performance schedule.)

 

All seniors out for a winter activity will be honored with their parents this Friday night at the game. All girls will be honored before the girls game at 6:20 and the senior boys and parents before the boy's game.
