Anyone still interested in helping with Daffodil Days next week should contact Mr. Embrock or the high school office today. Remember this could be a great volunteer service activity that could be credited toward the Silver Cord Program.
Only seniors who have turned their permission slips are free to have open lunch.
Seniors – You need to pay your $20 by the end of the day today.
Mr. Cook’s seminar (boys only) meet in Ms. Torney’s room today. Mr. Cook’s (girls only) meet in Mr. Gerzema’s room today during seminar.
The activity shuttle bus leaves at 5:15 today.
The players bus will leave for Britt at 4:10 today! We will not be going through Thompson!
Reminder to all bowlers to be at Buffalo Lanes by 12:15 on Saturday for the tournament. Encourage parents to attend. Remember dress code.
The FFA meeting will be during 2nd seminar today in Mr. Gerzema's room. Report to seminar first and then come directly down. This meeting will last about 10 minutes but we need to vote for Sweetheart and King as well as pass out fruit rebate checks.
We are starting a new Study Table program for students who need/want help with homework. Students will be referred to Study Table by the discretion of the teachers or may voluntarily attend. We will try to give one day notice so you can make transportation arrangements. Any student may attend the Study Table, but you need to be signed up by noon with Mr. Embrock. Study Tables will run Monday-Thursday from 3:30-4:30 pm in designated classrooms.

Attention to anyone wanting to be active over the winter months! There will be a winter fitness club that meets in the gym lobby each Tuesday and Thursday at 3:45 starting this week. It is open to anyone wanting to be active whether for athletics or just to be fit. Contact Mr. Potter if would like more information – otherwise we’ll see you there.
We will have a 1st Semester recognition rally and winter activities pep rally today at 2:50 pm in the HS Gym. The afternoon classes will be shortened. Cheerleaders are excused at 2:40 for the pep rally.
The musical this year is "Annie Get Your Gun." It's a fun story with great music! Auditions will be Thursday and Friday of this week and Monday next week. More details will be in the announcements as far as the exact times. Contact Mrs. Kettwick if you are interested in trying-out.
Anyone interested in individual speech – tryouts will be held February 4th. Please be looking for a piece. If you have questions or need help, please email me. (Mrs. Schutjer)
North Iowa High School Dodge Ball Tournament will be held Saturday, March 7, 2009 at the North Iowa Gym. $60 per team of 8 to 10 people. Must pay in advance and must be registered by Monday, February 16. Contact Joy Gelhaus at 515-886-2220 to register. Thanks for supporting After Prom.
