Musical try-outs for "Annie Get Your Gun" are Thursday, January 29 at 3:30 p.m., Friday, January 30 at 7:15 a.m., and Monday, February 2 at 7:15 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.   A short warm-up time will be held at the beginning of each session.

 

Concession stand workers for tonight’s JV BB games are Anna Skarpohl-Ost, Rachel Rolling, Logan Hovland, Becca Siemens

 

State Large Group Qualifiers – the BC Tribune will be in the multipurpose room at 4:00 on Thursday for pictures!

 

Only seniors who have turned their permission slips are free to have open lunch.

 

Seniors – You need to pay your $20 by Friday.

 

The FFA meeting will be during 2nd seminar on Friday the 30th in Mr. Gerzema's room not Thursday. Report to seminar first and then come directly down. This meeting will last about 10 minutes but we need to vote for Sweetheart and King as well as pass out fruit rebate checks.

 

Mr. Gerzema could use a couple of workers this Saturday for the 3:00 concession stand. Let him know if you can help.

 

Please turn in your Study Table Approval forms to the HS office as soon as possible.

 

We are starting a new Study Table program for students who need/want help with homework.  Students will be referred to Study Table by the discretion of the teachers or may voluntarily attend. We will try to give one day notice so you can make transportation arrangements. Any student may attend the Study Table, but you need to be signed up by noon with Mr. Embrock.  Study Tables will run Monday-Thursday from 3:30-4:30 pm in the HS media.

 

Freshmen and Sophomores will report to the Auditorium during 1st Seminar for a presentation today.  Juniors and Seniors will report to the Auditorium during 2nd Seminar today also.

 

The Iowa Lakes College rep will be at NIHS on Friday at 11:30 a.m.

 

Note to seniors:  There has been a change as to the due date for senior pictures—February 13th.  One senior picture needs to be given to the high school office for the composite.  One sent electronically to the BC Tribune at bctrib@wctatel.net

and one sent electronically to Mr. Silber at tsilber@mchsi.com Please direct any questions to the HS office.

 

Attention to anyone wanting to be active over the winter months!  There will be a winter fitness club that meets in the gym lobby each Tuesday and Thursday at 3:45 starting this week.  It is open to anyone wanting to be active whether for athletics or just to be fit.  Contact Mr. Potter if would like more information – otherwise we’ll see you there.

 

We will have a 1st Semester recognition rally and winter activities pep rally on Friday, January 30 at 2:50 pm in the HS Gym.  The afternoon classes will be shortened. 7th period will go from 12:35-1:40 and 8th period from 1:45-2:50.

North Iowa High School Dodge Ball Tournament will be held Saturday, March 7, 2009 at the North Iowa Gym. $60 per team of 8 to 10 people. Must pay in advance and must be registered by Monday, February 16.  Contact Joy Gelhaus at 515-886-2220 to register.  Thanks for supporting After Prom.
