DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS

1/29/2008

General

Students:  If you sign up to eat lunch in the morning you must eat, if you don’t sign up, you should not eat.  The cooks count many days is one to two dozen more or less from the count given to them.  Yesterday (Monday) we had approximately 25 meal count difference for high school. This makes a big difference in food preparation.

Teachers--Please everyone be accurate when lunch count is taken.  If you forget to enter the count, call the cooks extension number 174 and give it to them. Also if you have a sub explain in the sub folder what to do, (they can just call ext. 174 and give the count if they do not have your password.)  Thanks.

On Friday, February 1, the high school will have a winter student recognition/pep rally.  Students will be dismissed from classes at 2:45 pm and go straight to the HS gym.

Thank you to all the high school students who served as Celebrity Readers for Beach Day in the elementary last Friday.  You are great role models.

Mr. Hill

There will be a meeting for all those interested in being on the tech crew for the musical at 7:45 on Wednesday morning in the multipurpose room.

Extra Help sessions are provided in the Study Center room on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30-4:00 pm for students wanting/needing some extra help with homework.  Most high school teachers are available before or after school to work with you as well.  If you need extra help with homework or need some guidance on assignments, the Extra Help sessions could be very helpful for you.  If transportation is a factor and keeps you from staying after school to get help, you are welcome to ride the shuttle bus.  Make sure you are doing everything you can to get homework and assignments completed and taking care of your academics.

The Kaplan University meeting that should have been held today during seminar is postponed to a later date.

Mr. Gerzema would like to meet with the Conduct of Meetings team 1st seminar today. This involves: Logan H. Tony W. Jacob C. Justin S. Dylan B. Mitchell L. and Jimmy J.

Happy Birthday Mr. Embrock one day late!  Best of wishes to you...it could have been worse!

The F/S girls and boys basketball teams will be leaving @ 3:00 for their game at Forest City on Thursday, January 31st.  All players should be dismissed at 2:45 and contact all teachers for assignments.
