HS
students: Your help is needed/requested.
Today’s
lunch is BBQ chicken, etc.
Students
will have their lockers checked this week and next week during seminar with
their seminar teachers. Please follow
the following schedule: junior-senior
boys tomorrow; junior-senior girls Friday; sophomore/freshmen boys Monday;
sophomore/freshmen girls Tuesday.
Thank
you to everyone that participated in District Speech Contest on Saturday. Your hard work and dedication to speech is
appreciated. Congratulations to Megan,
Tony, and TV News - on to state!
High School
bowling will be today from 3:45 to 5:45.
Student
Council will have a meeting today in the ICN room during lunch. Members
should be dismissed from Seminar at 11:45 am to get their lunch.
The
representative from
The
representative from Iowa Central Community College will be here tomorrow, Thursday,
January 28 at 11:25 in the guidance office.
The
ASVAB test will be given on Friday, January 29 to all Juniors. They
should report to the multi-purpose room at the beginning of the day.
Attendance, announcements, and lunch count will be taken prior to the test by
Mr. Huntington.
Speech
- We will meet after school on Thursday to talk about individual speech. If you have a category you are interested in,
please let me know. If you aren't sure
what categories there are, please come to the meeting. Please let me know if you are interested but
can't be at the meeting.
Auditions
for the musical ("Grease") are going to be held during Chorus time
(1st period) on Friday, January 29. Students who would like to try
out but are not in chorus should contact Mrs. Blodgett, Mrs. Kettwick or Mrs.
Anderson.

There
will be a yearbook meeting Thursday during seminar in the multipurpose

There
will be an FCCLA meeting in the FCS room during Seminar on Thursday, if we have
a normal schedule. Refreshments will be
served.
All
Seniors need to pay $25 to the HS office to help pay for graduation caps, gown,
and stoles. Please make payment by February 13.
North
Iowa Booster Club FREETHROW contest sponsored by FTSB will be held Sunday,
January 31, 2010. Registration begins at 12:45, contest at 1:00. All Ages
Welcome, Moms & Dads too!!
Cancer
Awareness night will be Jan 29th. Shirts are for sale through Monday. Please
contact Dy Quisling (quisling@northiowa.org) to order
your "PINK. It's not just a color it's a cause" shirt. All orders
must be paid for prior to Monday. Shirts are available in Youth Med and Large,
Adult Sm-M-L-XL for $6. 2XL are $7 and 3XL are $8)
A
Prom Book for this year's dresses will be available in the FCS room. Bring in a picture of your dress to put in as
soon as you have purchased it.
It
is appropriate, respectful, and expected that all students stand and remove
their hats during the National Anthem at our school events (like tonight’s
basketball games). It is also appropriate and respectful to stand during
our school song and while starting lineups are being announced. Please
show respect and school pride by doing these things.
Students:
Please remember to not bring food or drink to events like our basketball games
where concessions are provided. If you need/want to have food/drink from
another venue, please consume these items before entering the school.
When
attending school events, students are expected to remain in the building rather
than go in and out. If you leave the building during an event, you may
not be allowed to re-enter. Thanks for you cooperation.
