Tonight is white-out night!  Show your North Iowa spirit by wearing white at the basketball games tonight against Lake Mills.  Go Bison! 

 

FFA Concession stand workers tonight are Garrett Smith, Zack Blocker, Jared Irons, and Logan Swearingen be at the stand at 6:00.  If you have a conflict find a replacement and talk to Mr. Gerzema.

 

Tuesday nights concession workers are Anna Skarpohl-Ost, Macy Heetland, Maranda Eichenberger, and Colby Smith be at the stand by 6:00.

 

FFA officers meet Monday, Jan. 26th, for a short officer meeting during 2nd seminar.

 

The following students are scheduled to work the concession stand for the boys JV and varsity basketball games on Monday, January 26:  Kaylan Hovland, Tana Ree, Shelby Heetland, Amanda Willmert, and Megan Julrud-Wertjes.  Please arrive at the concession stand at 5:45 pm.

 

Note to seniors:  There has been a change as to the due date for senior pictures—February 13th.  One senior picture needs to be given to the high school office for the composite.  One sent electronically to the BC Tribune at bctrib@wctatel.net

and one sent electronically to Mr. Silber at tsilber@mchsi.com

 

Speech participants – the bus will leave at 7:00 from BC on Saturday the 24th.  We will also stop in Thompson.  Be ready to go on time!  We should be home around 4:00.

 

Keys on lanyard were found yesterday morning.  Car key, etc.  Please identify in the office.

 

Seniors need to pay $20 to the HS office to help pay for caps, gowns, stoles, and flowers for graduation.  Please pay by the end of January.

 

Attention to anyone wanting to be active over the winter months!  There will be a winter fitness club that meets in the gym lobby each Tuesday and Thursday at 3:45 starting this week.  It is open to anyone wanting to be active whether for athletics or just to be fit.  Contact Mr. Potter if would like more information – otherwise we’ll see you there.

 

We will have a 1st Semester recognition rally and winter activities pep rally on Friday, January 30 at 2:50 pm in the HS Gym.  The afternoon classes will be shortened.

 

We are starting a new Study Table program for students who need/want help with homework.  Students will be referred to Study Table by the discretion of the teachers or may voluntarily attend.  We will try to give one day notice so you can make transportation arrangements.  Study Tables will run Monday-Thursday from 3:30-4:30 pm in designated classrooms.

 

Your 2nd semester schedule should final at this point.  If you have a major issue with your schedule, talk to Mr. Huntington or Mr. Embrock.

 

Speech - anyone who is going to Garner tomorrow should meet in the auditorium during 1st seminar.  Choral Reading--this is a change from yesterday's plan. 

 

Juniors need to go to the high school media center and vote for a prom theme today, Friday, January 23rd..  Today is your one and only chance to help decide what this year’s prom theme will be.  There are sample ideas and ballots on the check out counter.  Once you have placed your ballot in the box cross your name off of the class list.  Mrs. Anderson will count the ballots when she gets to Buffalo Center for the ball games on Friday night.
