The end of the 1st Semester has changed to Friday, January 15 due to our recent days of school missed.  Make sure you are getting all work done for each of your teachers.  All work needs to be handed in by Friday.

 

We have a 1:30 pm dismissal tomorrow.

 

All 2nd Semester schedules need to be finalized by the end of this week.  The 2nd Semester will start on Monday, January 18 (regardless of anymore days missed).

  • Freshmen can finalize schedules with Mr. Embrock or Mr. Huntington during Seminar today
  • Sophomores can finalize schedules with Mr. Embrock or Mr. Huntington during Seminar tomorrow
  • Juniors can finalize schedules with Mr. Embrock or Mr. Huntington during Seminar on Wednesday
  • Seniors can finalize schedules with Mr. Embrock or Mr. Huntington during Seminar on Thursday

 

Juniors will take the ASVAB test on Friday, January 22 rather than Friday, January 15.

 

The south step entrance is almost ready for use.  Please do not enter or exit the doors of the south steps until further notice.  Thanks for your cooperation!

 

No JV games with NSk today.  No JV boys practice today. Boys basketball practice Tuesday will be at 5 pm.

 

The Trig test will be Tuesday and the Geometry test will be Wednesday of this week.

 

A Prom Book for this year's dresses will be available in the FCS room starting this afternoon.  Bring in a picture of your dress to put in as soon as you have purchased it.

There will be a yearbook meeting Wednesday during seminar in the multipurpose room.

 

The lunch menu will be as follows for this week:

Mon – Ham and cheese, mixed veg., rosy applesauce; Tues.—Sloppy Joe, French fries, peaches; Wed., Baked potato bar, pineapple, sandwich, cheesecake; Thurs., Chicken Sandwich, veggie w/dip, mixed fruit, pudding; Fri., Tomato Soup, crackers, grilled cheese sand., pears.

 

The deadline for early registration for the February 6th is today, January 5th.  Go to www.actstudent.org to register.  Our high school code is 160535.  The test center code for North Iowa High School is 167260. 

 

Speech - I need to know if you plan to go to Large Group Districts for group improv.  We have to sign up today. –Mrs. Schutjer

 

The semester will be done this week so make sure all assignments, projects, etc. are getting completed.  If you are having difficulties with homework, work with your teachers (before or after school or during Seminar) and/or stay after for Study Tables.

 

North Iowa Alerts - Text Messages on your phone:  If you were previously signed up for text alerts on your phone and were an Alltel customer who is now Verizon customer your phone’s email address has changed and you will need to sign up for the text alerts again.

 

Students---Please show your respect and school pride by standing during the school song and during the announcing of the players prior to the basketball games.  We want our community to be proud of our awesome school spirit and sportsmanship and also want opponents to respect us and even be envious of us.  Please do your part in displaying great sportsmanship at all of our events and positively supporting our co-curricular activities.

 

Students---Show your skills during halftime of the girls and boys home basketball games! For $1, attempt a 3-point shot and if you make it, we’ll double your money! Join Student Council tonight for the halftime Hoop Shoot and challenge your friends to join you!

 

Just a reminder that the Winter Fitness club will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays throughout the winter months.  New for this year – the 6k challenge… come find out what it’s all about! Please be prompt and if you have any questions contact Mr. Potter.
