TV News - I will be in the media center after school if anyone would like help finding materials. Remember to have everything you need for Saturday.  We will be taping on Saturday!

 

Seniors need to pay $20 to the HS office to help pay for caps, gowns, stoles, and flowers for graduation.  Please pay by the end of January.

 

We have some students not using their assigned lockers and using other lockers.  If you are not using the locker assigned to you, you need to make arrangements with Mr. Embrock.  Mr. Embrock and the HS office need to know what locker you are using.  Also, lockers are still in need of cleaning.  There are several with garbage and unnecessary items.  Please clean up your lockers by Tuesday, January 13.  We will have a locker check during seminars on Tuesday, January 13.

 

The following students are scheduled to work the JV Concessions tonight:  Anna Skarpohl-Ost, Ashley Schlake, Samantha Gelhaus, and Amanda Risius.  Please be at the concession stand before 6:00 pm.

 

There will be a Tyler Olson benefit on Saturday, January 17th, 7:30 p.m. at the Surf ballroom.  Tickets for the dance are: Adult--$10; Student-$5; 4 person booth-$10; 6 person Booth-$15; Table-$20; children 5 and under FREE.  Tickets may be purchased from the high school office or at the door.  Popcorn, pop and pizza will be vended in their own separate area.  There will also be numerous door prizes given throughout the evening to students.

 

There will also be a benefit raffle for Tyler Olson.  Tickets can be purchased from the high school office.  They are $1 each or 6 for $5; 12 for $10.  The winner will receive a free ticket to attend a 2009 Minnesota Twins regular season game with Tyler Olson and his family.  The winner will have the opportunity to be brought down onto the field with Tyler before the game starts. 

 

PE will be bowling from January 5th through January 16th. Meet in the lobby for attendance. Bring a winter jacket because we'll be walking over to the lanes.

 

Softball hitting and throwing will be every Tuesday and Thursday morning. Not required to attend but highly suggested if you plan on going out this year for softball. 

 

Jazz Band will rehearse during 1st seminar today and 2nd seminar on Thursday.

 

The next FCCLA meeting will be held on Tuesday night, Feb. 13, at 7:00 p.m.  Planning for the Valentines Day fundraiser and FCCLA week as well as State conference will be on the agenda.  Refreshments will be brought by Amanda Willmert and Courtney Kahler.

 

Student Council will have a meeting today during first lunch in the Multi-purpose room.

 

TATU group will meet today in Mrs. Aukes office at 11:45 am.  Please bring your lunch and we will meet with the public health nurse. 

 

Those students interested in participating in the Garner Quiz Bowl – there will be a selection meeting during 2nd seminar on Friday.  If you would like to go, be sure to attend.  Eat 1st lunch if you do not normally do so – and be sure to alert your seminar teachers in advance.

 

If you found a red mitten this week outside in front of the school, please turn it in to the front office.  We have the owner.
