PE will be bowling from January 5th through January 16th. Meet in the lobby for attendance. Bring a winter jacket because we'll be walking over to the lanes.

 

Softball hitting and throwing will be every Tuesday and Thursday morning. Not required to attend but highly suggested if you plan on going out this year for softball. 

 

Those students who are interested in participating in the Quiz Bowl tournament on Saturday at Garner need to report to Mr. Potter’s room today at 11:40.  Please be prompt.

 

Rachel Hansen, a North Iowa grad and a University of Iowa student, will be in the guidance office on Wednesday, January 7th at 11:45 to answer questions about her experience about the university, the community, and campus life.

 

Any Seniors whose parents could not make the financial aid meeting last night should stop by the guidance office and pick up handouts.  

 

Thanks to all individuals and seminars that donated to the Food Pantry just before Christmas. We had a very successful drive and delivered items to both the North Iowa School district and the Winnebago County Food Pantries. Congratulations to Mr. Swenson's seminar at 588 points and Mr. Hemiller's at 568 for 1st and 2nd places. We will be contacting you shortly about your pizza or ice cream parties.

Due to the day of school that we missed on December 19, the end of the 1st semester will now be on Thursday, January 15 (it is a ‘B’ day).  Make sure you are working with all of your teachers to get all of your work done by the end of the semester.

The 2nd semester will start on Friday, January 16.  2nd semester schedules should be set by now.  Please talk to Mr. Huntington or Mr. Embrock asap if you need a change.

 

The following students need to see Mr. Embrock today during lunch or Seminar to finalize their 2nd semester schedules:  James Burke, Janie Penning, Ben Bromeland, Josh Kirk, Anthony Kokakis, Brandy Newton, Tanner Weringa, Dylan Balvance, Jacob Crowder, James Janssen, Megan Julsrud-Wertjes, Amber Paden.

 

We will have an assembly for all students and staff tomorrow at 9:30 am in the HS Auditorium to help everyone understand the health and condition of Garrett Asmus.  Students will be dismissed by intercom at about 9:25 am.  The assembly will last about an hour.

 

Student Council will have a meeting on Thursday, January 8 during first lunch in the Multi-purpose room.

 

Seniors will have meeting in the HS Auditorium at 11:40 am on Friday, January 9.

 

Any student taking a NIACC course (Art Appreciation, Tech Essentials, Networking 3) will have a meeting during 2nd Seminar on Thursday, January 15 in the Multi-purpose room.

 

Students need to fulfill their detention obligations within the next 2 days or have to come to a Saturday School on January 10.  Please make arrangements with Mr. Embrock asap!

 

The following students need to meet with Mr. Embrock at 9:30 am this morning:  Ashley Schlake, Kayla Hovland, Alyssa Meinders, Paula Larson, and Tana Ree.

 

Student Council will be hosting the Hoop Shoot tonight at halftime of both basketball games.

 

TATU group will meet Thursday, 01-08-09 in Mrs. Aukes office at 11:45 am.  Please bring your lunch and we will meet with the public health nurse.
