High School General
The National Honor Society's "clean the ditches" will be today. We will meet at 3:45 in the gym lobby and go from there.
The following students need to pay for their BLS cards in Mrs. Aukes office: Megan Becker, Matt Gray, Mitch Hagen, Holly Mayland, Jeff Ostermann, Lisa Satre, and JP Webb. Thank you.
Baseball practice immediately after school today.
Our end of the season girls track meeting will be held immediately after school TODAY! Remember to bring your uniform/sweats to be turned in. Thanks, Coach Potter

Just a reminder, the Lift-A-Thon is coming up. Don't forget to get your pledges or donations. The contest will be held on Wednesday, May 29th, at 10 AM in the weight room. Also on that day, the staff from the Mercy Sports Clinic will be here to conduct athletic testing. Any athlete who wants to participate is welcome. There will be tests for vertical leap, 0-10 meter acceleration, agility, and upper body power. From this information, recommendations about workouts will be made.
Thanks to everyone who helped support the butter braid sales this year. The baseball program was able to raise $950 this year in net profit. The butter braids should arrive at the school on May 16. We will try to get them out to everyone shortly after that. Thanks again. --Brad E.
Speech students that received medals or certificates of recognition at the Forest City Speech contest should bring them to Mrs. DeBoer by Thursday so you can be recognized for your accomplishment!!!
All speech materials should be returned ASAP!
All students that participated in contest this season should meet with Mrs. DeBoer on Wednesday during 1st seminar.
Mr. Huntington will be out of the building from 10-3. Seminar please go to Mr. Potter's room.
Reminders for seniors:
Graduation practice will be Friday at 10:00 in the gymnasium.
Wednesday at 7:00 pm is Baccalaureate. Wear graduation robes for this, but not caps.
Awards night is Thursday at 7:00 pm. Please dress appropriately.
All seniors need to meet in Mrs. Friesenborg's room at 1:00 on Sunday for pictures, pinning of flowers and last minute instructions.
You can pick up reserved seating tickets and check-out forms from Vicki. Check out forms must be completed and turned in to Mr. Evans before participating in graduation ceremonies.
FFA Officer meeting tomorrow (Wednesday) morning at 7:45.
FFA members, Sophomores and Juniors, pick up an officer application. All applications are due this Friday.
FFA member meeting, Lions Club Park, Thursday May 23rd. We will probably hold this immediately following baseball and softball practice that night.
Thanks very much to the varsity girls track team and any other students that helped at the N.IC. track meet last night at Buffalo Center. Your help was valuable to say the least. You were outstanding and certainly all-stars in your excellent service. Sincerely, Brad Ewest

Thanks very much to everyone who helped out at the M.S. Boys Track Meet last night. All the coaches from the other teams felt it ran very smoothly also. Your hard work and the time you took out of an already busy schedule is very much appreciated. --Brad E.
Character education workshop --- SATURDAY, JUNE 22 ---- 8:30-12:00 at the North Iowa Middle School Media Center. The workshop is based on some fundamental character education development and allows for work time to develop character education lessons to be used next fall. There is a $20 stipend involved for completion of the training. This is funded by a grant from Winnebago County Empowerment.
