High School General
The Iowa National Guard is sponsoring a "Guardsman for a Day" program for January 12 and 13th. If you are interested in participating contact Mr. Huntington.

"Attention all seniors--Please turn in your senior pictures to either Kelly Anderson or Amanda Smith by this FRIDAY. You need two different poses for the yearbook, plus 4 other senior pictures of your choice to distribute to the area newspapers. (THE ONES FOR THE NEWSPAPERS NEED TO BE CLOSE-UP HEADSHOTS AND VERTICAL ONES.) Needed are a total of six in all. Also, we need one baby picture--those will be returned to you. Write it down so you don't forget."

Reminder: The classroom phones are not for student use. They are for use
by school personnel. Students can use the phone, with permission, in the
mail room. If you see a student using a classroom phone, ask them to end
the call and explain this expectation to them. If they choose to argue,
send them to me. If a student asks to use the classroom phone, direct them
to use the student phone in the mail room. Do not give students permission
to use the classroom phone.

Any girl interested in receiving information about the Miss Iowa Teen Competition should sign up by Friday in Vicki’s office. By competing you will elarn leadership skills, work on interview skills, boost self-confidence, meet new friends, and have an opportunity to earn $30,000 in scholarships. if you have any questions you can go to www.iowapageants.com or call 817-442-8896. mrs. Anderson has a flyer that might also answer some questions.

The freshman ensemble acting group including Brandon, Jeff & Micah should meet in Mrs. DeBoer's room at 3:20 today.

The Freshman Readers Theatre group will meet at 7:15 tomorrow (Thursday) morning in the auditorium.

"The Crucible" group will meet again Friday morning at 7:30 sharp in the auditorium. Breakfast will be provided by latecomers!!!

The T.V News team will be filming on Tuesday at the AEA. Students involved in T.V. News should contact teachers to get assignments made up in advance. We will leave Buffalo Center at 7:30 AM and will stop in Thompson at the Farm Bureau office as well.

This is a reminder from the Climate Culture Committee. Please turn in your Hispanic week plans to a committee member before or at our January 31 inservice.
All we need are your thoughts on a sheet of paper of what you would like to do in your classroom during Hispanic week April 2 through April 5.
