Teacher Conferences will be held October 27 and 29 from 4-8 p.m. Sign up slips will be sent home October 2 with
the youngest child in the family. Please
return by October 15th. Online
sign up will again be available October 1 through October 15 on the homepage – www.northiowa.org. After the 15th
the online sign up will be taken off line so any remaining conferences can be
scheduled. If your child sees a special
education teacher or Title 1 teacher, please schedule a conference with her
also. Notices of scheduled conference
times will be sent home on or before October 23.

● Cheerleaders will be
selling Tattoo’s
on Friday before and after school outside
Mr. Myer’s office at 7:30am. Small tattoos are $.50, arm band tattoos are $2.00
and AFTER school kids will be able to purchase eye blacks for $2.00/pair.
● Reminder – The steps on the south side of the school are
under construction. Please remind
students that this construction zone is off limits for their play.

Picture Retake Day – is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 13th
– for those students who were absent on August 31st or who would
like a retake. The photographers will
start out in Thompson at 8:30 a.m. - and after that - they will go over
to

Education" Program - visit your local Hy-Vee store and
register your students' names for weekly drawings spanning 8 weeks this fall.
Each winner will receive a laptop computer and each of their schools will
receive a $5,000 donation.
● Seasonal influenza vaccinations
Wednesday, 09-30-09 at 7:40 a.m. in BC and around 12 noon in Thompson. You
will be given an appointment time. If you are interested in getting the
vaccination, please email Deb, (at Thompson email Fairy) or sign up on the
sheet outside Deb’s office door if you would like the vaccination. This is
the vaccination for the respiratory influenza which is offered every
fall/winter at school for employees and volunteers. This vaccination does
not prevent the intestinal or stomach “flu”. This vaccination does not provide
protection for the H1N1 virus. The vaccination for the H1N1 will be
offered in late Oct. /Nov. Children age 2 to 21 are the target
population for the H1N1 vaccine. Deb is not sure where school employees
will fall in “who gets the H1N1 shot and when”. Please email or talk to
Deb about details and payment.

● Wall of Fame – This is a new student recognition
program. Teachers will acknowledge
classroom achievement with a certificate and photos of students will be posted
