Reading Achievement Goal
Annual Goal: To increase the percent of students in grades 3-8 and 10
scoring at or above grade
level on the vocabulary sub-test of the Gates MacGinitie
Reading Assessment.

focused on early childhood issues.
● September 24 and 25 we will have
hearing screening for K-Prep, Kindergarten, First, Second, and Eighth grade
plus all new students to the district.
Both days will begin at 8:30.

● We are offering a pep bus to away games. Students in middle school and high school
are encouraged to sign up.
● Training for Skills Iowa (Skills
Tutor) will be September 24. 2:00 at the Middle School and 3:15 at the BC
Building. If any of the elementary teachers
would like to attend the M/S secession and then work with the teachers at the
middle school on the district wide assessment scoring you are welcome to do
so. Please let Mike Evans know ahead of
time.
● Be
sure your child abuse training is up to date.
If your certificate was 2005 or prior you will need to complete the
on-line training within the next two weeks.
