Around the World Yoyo Entertainment Company will be presenting
“School is Cool” assembly Wednesday, September 15 from 2:30-3:15 in the
auditorium. Students will be lead on
a learning journey using the yoyo and other fun activities to communicate the
importance of school. In the show our
student swill do some math, learn how thri brains work and see yoyo tricks that
range from easy to very advanced. For
five days following the assembly yoyos will be available for students to
purchase. There are four ypes of hig
quality yoyos. The conventiaonal Proyo
yoyo, $7.00; the all purpose Pro Fly yoyo, $7.50; the long spin Fireball yyo,
$10.00; and the high performance ball bearing Dragon Fly yoyo, $15.00. A percentage of the yoyo sales is donated
back to our school by Around the World Yoyo.
Guided Reading begins this week for 1st – 5th
grades. Students will be reading books that are at their individual reading
level and this will increase their reading confidence and success. Students
will read in a small group in school and will bring home a Guided Reading book
every night and students will read to their parents each evening. Parents are
asked to sign the half sheet each night.
In addition to the reading, 10 minutes of math facts each night will
make students successful!!
QSP magazine
sales begin by the Junior
Class Tuesday, September 14, if you would like to purchase a magazine
subscription and are not contacted by a member of the Junior Class, please call
the school at 641-562-2525. Profits of
the magazine sales are used for Prom and graduation expenses.
